The Madras High Court has postponed its verdict on the release of Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam. After the Tamil Nadu government imposed a 15 days interim ban on the film's release following outrage from Muslim groups, Kamal Haasan approached the Madras High Court earlier today. The court listened to the arguments from both sides and a judgment was expected by the end of the day. The latest news is that the court has postponed its verdict to January 28 (Monday). This means that the film will not release in India till the court makes a decision; however, Vishwaroopam has already been screened in some overseas territories like Malaysia. More details about the court's decision and Kamal Haasan's further course of action will be clear on Monday. The film has Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar and Andrea in lead roles. Kamal Haasan had written, produced and directed the film. Telugu version will release as per the schedule on 25 Jan.
