Veteran actress Bhanupriya stands as an epitome of Telugu tradition and classical dance. She surprised all the audience with her brief dance on the dais of Ugadi Celebrations at the New Jersey Telugu Association. She attended as the Chief Guest for the event and when asked to shake her leg for the song "Guvva Gorinkatho" from Khaidi#786 of 1988, she danced spontaneously with all the required agility and grace. The audience stood up in applause and gave a standing ovation. Popular singers from Telugu Film Industry- Hema Chandra and Sravani Bhargavi entertained the audience throughout the event with their songs.

New Jersey Telugu Association (NJTA) celebrated its first anniversary on 22nd of April in Plainfield, NJ. Around 1500 have attended this event that started with Panchanga Sravanam. Several cultural programs were followed and audience got entertained to the fullest. A grand dinner by Deccan Spice was relished by all. Both local and Tollywood artistes participated in this event.

The dances by the local youngsters rocked the dais. On this occasion NJTA Founder Chinna Vasudeva Reddy thanked all the sponsors and all the supporters for the event.

"NJTA has been standing up to its idea of presenting arts and culture of Telugu is a different style", said Vasudeva Reddy.

YV Subba Reddy (MP), Bhumana Karunakar Reddy (Former Chairman, TTD), Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy (MLA) have also participated in this event.

On the behalf of NJTA, its Founder Vasudeva Reddy along with Mohan Pendyala, Manju Bhargava, Bindu Madiraju, Swati Atluri, Veni Chinna, Anuradha Arun, Ujwal Kasthala, Sarala Komaruvolu, Srikanth Soudham have felicitated veteran actress Bhanu Priya and singer couple Sravana Bhargavi and Hema Chandra.

Bhanupriya appreciated the interest and respect shown by Telugus in New Jersey towards Telugu culture and arts. After seeing the success of this event, with the doubled enthusiasm NJTA in association with Vegesna Foundation is organizing a fund raising event on 21st May followed by a semi classical and film music workshop by Parthu Nemani from 9th July to 16th July 2017.

న్యూజెర్సీ తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్‌ ఉగాది సంబరాల్లో భానుప్రియ డ్యాన్స్

భానుప్రియ అనగానే ఒక తెలుగింటి నటి...ఒక గొప్ప డ్యాన్సర్..అని వెంటనే అనిపిస్తుంది. న్యూజెర్సీ తెలుగు అసోషియేషన్ ఉగాది వేడుకల్లో భానుప్రియ డ్యాన్స్ చేసి అందర్నీ అబ్బుర పరిచారు. ఈ ఈవెంట్ కి ముఖ్య అతిధిగా హాజరైన భానుప్రియ "గువా గోరింకతో" పాటకి 30 ఏళ్ల క్రితం నాటి ఆమె స్పీడుకి, ఎనెర్జీకి ఏ మాత్రం తీసిపోకుండా వేసిన స్టెప్పులు ఈలలు మోగించి చప్పట్లు కొట్టించాయి.  ఆమె అలా డాన్స్‌ చేస్తోంటే, ఆహూతులు తమను తాము మైమర్చిపోయి స్టాండింగ్ ఓవేషన్ ఇచ్చారు. ప్రముఖ టాలీవుడ్ గయక గాయనీమణులు హేమచంద్ర, శ్రావణి భార్గవి ఈ వేడుకలో తమ పాటలతో ఆద్యంతం అలరించారు. 

ఏడాది క్రితం ఏర్పాటయిన న్యూ జెర్సీ తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్‌ (ఎన్‌జెటిఎ) ఈ తక్కువ కాలంలోనే తన ప్రత్యేకతను చాటుకుంది. స్వదేశానికి దూరంగా ఉంటోన్న తెలుగువారికి, ఆ లోటు తెలియకుండా పలు కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడుతూ, వారిని ఆనందోత్సాహాల్లో ముంచెత్తుతోన్న ఎన్‌జెటిఎ, హేవలంబి నామ సంవత్సర ఉగాది వేడుకల్ని ఏప్రిల్‌ 22న ప్లెయిన్‌ ఫీల్డ్‌ హౌస్కూల్‌, ప్లెయిన్‌ ఫీల్డ్‌, న్యూజెర్సీలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించింది. ఈ ఈవెంట్‌కి 1500 మందికి పైగా హాజరయ్యారు. పంచాంగ శ్రవణంతో ఈ వేడుకల్ని ప్రారంభించారు. సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాలు ఆహూతుల్ని అలరించాయి. డెక్కన్‌ స్పైస్‌ ఏర్పాటు చేసిన విందు భోజనం భోజన ప్రియుల్నే కాక అందరికీ చవులూరించింది. స్థానిక కళాకారులు, అలాగే టాలీవుడ్‌ ఆర్టిస్టులతో నిర్వహించిన వెరైటీ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్‌ కార్యక్రమాలు అలరించాయి. 

స్థానిక యువతీ యువకులు పాటలకు అనుగుణంగా డాన్సులతో హోరెత్తించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎన్‌జెటిఎ వ్యవస్థాపకులు, అలాగే ఎంజీటీయే ఫౌండర్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ చిన్న వాసుదేవరెడ్డి స్పాన్సరర్లకు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. ఈవెంట్‌ విజయవంతం కావడంలో సహకరించిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ కృతజ్ఞతాభినందనలు తెలిపారాయన. తెలుగు సంస్కృతీ, సంప్రదాయాలు, కళల్ని ప్రెజెంట్‌ చేయడంలో న్యూ జెర్సీ తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్‌ తన ప్రత్యేకతను చాటుకుంటుందని చెప్పారు. వైవీ సుబ్బారెడ్డి (ఎంపీ), భూమన కరుణాకర్‌రెడ్డి (మాజీ ఛైర్మన్‌, టీటీడీ), చెవిరెడ్డి భాస్కర్‌రెడ్డి (ఎమ్మెల్యే) ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరయ్యారు. 

ఎన్‌జెటిఎ కమిటీ తరఫున చిన్న వాయసుదేవరెడ్డి, మోహన్‌ పెండ్యాల, మంజు భార్గవ, బిందు మాదిరాజు, స్వాతి అట్లూరి, వేణి చిన్నా, అనురాధా అరుణ్‌, ఉజ్వల్‌ కష్టాల, సరళ కొమరవోలు, శ్రీకాంత్‌ సౌద్గామ్‌ తదితరులు భానుప్రియతోపాటు, రాజకీయ ప్రముఖుల్ని అలాగే సింగర్స్‌ని సత్కరించారు. 

భారతీయ సంస్కృతీ సంప్రదాయాల పట్ల ఇక్కడివారు చూపుతున్న శ్రద్ధను అభినందించారు భానుప్రియ. అర్థ రాత్రి వరకు జరిగిన ఉగాది సంబరాల్లో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఉత్సాహంగా పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ ఉత్సాహంతో ఎన్‌జెటిఎ, మే 21న మ్యూజికల్‌ ప్రోగ్రామ్‌ని వేగేశ్న ఫౌండేషన్‌తో కలిసి అంగరంగ వైభవంగా నిర్వహించేందుకు సమాయత్తమవుతోంది. అలాగే జులై రెండో వారంలో పార్థు నేమాని సెమి క్లాసికల్‌ మరియు ఫిలిం మ్యూజిక్‌ క్లాసుల్ని నిర్వహిస్తారు.
