Telugu Association of Wale (TAW) has conducted fun filled summer event on 14 June 2018. TAW summer event has received tremendous response from enthusiastic Telugu community from all over Wales. Conducted Cricket matches and fun events for children and women. Four (4) teams and around 60 players have participated in
cricket matches and put a spectacular show of cricket.

Followed IPL team names and Royal Challendgers lead by Sudesh Duvuru, Sunrisers team lead by Pavan , Dare Devils team lead by Dr. Prashanth and Super Kings team lead by Santosh Bhat.

All four teams posed for team pictures and national anthem Jana gana mana played before start of the matches.

Started with virtual semi-finals Super Kings played against Royal Challengers and Sunrisers played against Dare Devils.

Semi-Final between Super Kings played Vs Royal Challengers game, Super Kings scored 88 runs in 15 overs, Super Kings captain Santosh Bhat scored 25 runs. Royal Challengers chased total in 12 overs and Royal Challengers Captain Sudesh scored 33 runs and remained not out. Both captains showed great skills by arranging fielding and choosing best bowlers across game. There was many nail biting moments in the game. But again it was Captain Sudesh Duvuru who kept his cool and taken his team to final.

Another Semi-Final between Sunrisers and Dare Devils. Sunrisers scored 96 runs in 15 overs. In chasing game went to last ball and it was close finish. Dare Devils need to score 20 runs in last 2 overs and 10 in last over. Heart beat of players and audience went high for each ball in last over. Dare Devils won the game by scoring winning run by last ball. It can go to one of classic games of Telugu Association of Wales.

TAW arranged lunch with delicious verities. Lunch included both Veg and Non-Veg dishes. Special Chicken and Veg Biryani with variety of curries. To beat the heat TAW arranged Squash and Butter Milk which gave lots of refreshment and energy to players.

After lunch stage is all set for finals and players are pumped up with energy and skills. Royal Challengers batted first and scored massive total of 156 and Ram scored 31 runs remained not out. He played some unbelievable shots during his knock. In chasing Royal Challengers bowlers showed exceptional skills. They restricted Dare Devils to 80 runs in course of winning maiden TAW Cricket Cup. All together final is mix of some exceptional batting and bowling performance by Royal Challengers. They deserve winning title.

Prominent telugu personality in United Kingdom Mr. Velagapudi Bapuji Rao garu and well known person for all Wales Telugu Community Mrs. Sujatha Thaldi garu graced this occasion and spent their Valuable time to watch games and encouraged players and audience with their presence.

During presentation ceremony Bapuji Rao garu said 'It is quite nice to see all Telugu community meeting at one place and playing matched with great spirit'. He appreciated efforts of TAW organising committee for their hard work and co-ordination in arranging this event. Mrs. Sujatha Thaladi said 'Felt really happy to seeing families came from all over Wales and looking forward to have more event like this'.

Mr. Bapuji Rao garu presented specially designed medals to all players participated in the event and Mrs. Sujatha Thaldi garu anounced Man of the Match award to Mr. Ram who played crucial knock in finals by scoring 31 runs and remain not out. She presented special momento to Mr. Ram.

Mr. Bapuji Rao garu presented maiden TAW Cricket Cup to Winning team Royal Challengers Captain Sudesh Duvuru. Royal Challengers players joined their captain for champion pictures.

Event closed with hot and delicious snacks involved Samosa and Alu Bonda.

Players and families thanked <B>Mr. Siva Kollipara</B> and <B>Mr. Sudesh Duvuru</B> for their exceptional work and co-ordination in arranging this event. Everyone showed interest to join for future programs conducted by Telugu Association of Wales.
