When big and established heroes feeling jittery in the first week of their films release, popular comedian and first time hero Sunil is sitting pretty as his film ‘Andala Ramudu’ generated hit talk and giving the buyers profits to the tune of double their investments.

Tirupati:
The first show of this film was screened in Tirupati at 9:30 am. Originally they planned to screen in Ramaraj theater. But due to heavy response, the theater management added another big theater Pratap. On the day one, Andala Ramudu collected a gross of 1.8 laks in 2 screens on 9 shows. After seeing the unexpected response, the theater management hiked the ticket price to Rs. 40/- (which is done only for films with big heroes). This film is screened with six shows each with all shows being full and collected a gross of 3.5 laks.

Guntur territory:
This film is released with 6 prints in six centers and seven theaters. Except for Guntur, Tenali and Ongole (where loading is not permitted), all other centers had full loadings (Full loading means - permitting people to watch the film by adding additional chairs). This film collected a gross of 3.49, 3.46 and 3.75 laks each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. In Guntur city, Andala Ramudu is going housefuls in two theaters. This film is bought for 23 laks and is expected to rake in 50 laks in total run.

Vizag Territory:
This film is released with 10 prints in 10 centers in Vizag territory. This film is sold for 50 laks and is expected to collect more than 1.25 crores in the long run. Andala Ramudu film is creating traffic jam at Leela Mahal center. After Nuvve Kavali, this is the only film that was released in Leela Mahal and created traffic jam in Leela Mahal center. This film collected a share of 11 lacs in 3 days.

Krishna territory:
For Krishna territory, this film is sold for 20 laks (plus five lacs for publicity). This film is expected to make more than 60 laks in total run. The current trend indicate that Andala Ramudu will go housefuls for atleast 5 weeks in main theater of Vijayawada. An additional theater is added in Vijayawada city after seeing unexpected response for the film.

Machilipatnam:
Raju who exhibited Andala Ramudu in Ramraj DTS in Machilipatnam told idlebrain.com that he took the film by giving an advance of 2 lacs. This film collected a gross of 1.7 laks and a share of 1.4 laks in 3 days. He is expecting Andala Ramudu to collect a share of 8 laks in Machilipatnam center in total run.

Nizam:
In Nizam territory too this film is doing great. The theaters in RTC X roads, Dilshuknagar, Kukatpalli, Erragadda (Gokul) this film is running with returning crowds. Dil Raju bought this film for Nizam area and he is expecting at least double the investment on this film.

Expressing his reaction about the success of Andala Ramudu, Sunil said that he would continue doing regular comedian roles. He is not looking to sign more films as hero because Andala Ramudu became a hit. He would do another film as hero only if the story of the film is the hero. When asked about his terrific dances he said, “I hid all my dancing skills for the past five years to surprise the Telugu film lovers with this film. I would like to thank all Andhra audiences for making film such a big hit.”
