Premiste
hits Gold at Box Office
Latest
dubbing film Premiste is doing very well at Box
Office. Suresh Kondeti bought the Telugu dubbing
rights of Tamil blockbuster Kaadhal for 45 lakhs
from NV Prasad. He dubbed it and released the
film with 42 prints on 12th of October on the
eve of Vijaya Dasami. He also packed the film
in an attractive way with nice publicity and promotion.
It cost Suresh around 1.1 crore in terms of budget
(rights + dubbing cost + publicity). He sold the
film for 1.4 crores on NRA percentage basis (out
of which he gave Ceded rights to NV Prasad for
free as a token of gratitude for giving him dubbing
rights).
This
limited release film managed to get housefuls
in almost all A centers. In class centers like
Vizag (Gokul), Vijayawada (Swarna Palace), Guntur
(Naz Apsara) etc, Premiste managed to go for housefuls
for all the shows exhibited so far. As of now,
the print number is increased from 42 to 60. Producer
is adding few more prints from 28th of this month
on the eve of Diwali.
In
Nizam alone, Premiste collected a share of approximately
50 lakhs in first seven days by releasing with
15 prints in 20 theaters. In Sivaparvathy (KPHB),
Premiste collected a share of over 7 lakhs in
7 days.
Premiste
film has recovered it's investment and is in profits
in the 2nd week itself. Since Suresh Kondeti has
given this film on 80/20 percentage basis (80%
of share to producer and 20% to the distributors),
all the distributors are eager to buy the film
outright by paying fancy amounts.
Premiste
film stands as one of the finest examples for
the success of small film. Budget is around one
crore and the profits are going to be in multiples.
Incidentally, Premiste is 4th dubbing hit of the
year after Chandramukhi, Aparichitudu and Manmadha.
