'Cupid
could strike at any point of time. It can happen before marriage
or after marriage', says the Agony aunt Suhasini to the fretting
Prakash Raj! These Telugu love stories are becoming more matured
in these days! And it happens to the heroine who is already engaged.
Trivikram Srinivas, the dialogue writer, and his films revolved
around the same point. Take the example of Chiru Navvuto, Nuvvu
Kavali and Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (NNN). In all these films,
the heroine gets engaged to a 3rd person before falling in love
with hero. In the films Nuvvu Kavali and NNN, the heroine
is willing to elope with hero. But hero controls her and takes the
onus of organizing the marriage of heroine to impress upon the parents
of the heroine.
In
the preview of NNN written
yesterday at idlebrain.com, Jeevi enthusiastically wrote that this
kind of storyline could be inspired Robert De Niro's 'Meet My
Parents'. Guess what! The director could not resist from flicking
a comedy scene from that film. There is a hilarious scene where
the hero makes a fool of himself by offering a prayer before having
the dinner at heroine's residence followed by the heroine's father
reciting another hilarious poem written for his late mother. This
scene was a straight lift from 'Meet My Parents'.
Venky
films ooze freshness. And this freshness can be contributed for
importing the fair skinned heroines from the greener pastures. If
he has imported Divya Bharati, Priti Zinta and Anjala Zhaveri from
bollywood, this time the producers went ahead and picked up the
yummy heroine Aarti Agrawal from the land of Uncle Sam! She wore
only traditional dresses in the entire film. But if you like legs,
you are in for a treat in the 4th song of the film in which she
bared her long shapely legs to the extreme extent with a couple
of dresses. Otherwise, this sumptuous heroine is prim and proper.
Here,
we need to discuss about the various kinds of love that have become
trademarks for different storywriters. For Trivikram Srinivas, the
heroine falling in love with hero after getting engaged to a third
fellow is his trademark. For the dialogue writer Teja (who also
directed Chitram and Nuvvu-Nenu), it's ok to fall
in love and get married as minors. Both these films deal about the
child marriages and are been supported by the director fervently.
As
told by Agony aunt Suhasini, cupid can stuck you at any point of
time. And for heroine, love can happen a couple of times too. Checkout
Anjala Zhaveri's character in the film 'Ravoyi Chandamama'!
She falls in with Jagapati Babu first and then with Nagarjuna.
I
am getting little tensed up with these kind of love stories pouring
in for Tollywood lovers. I am afraid that Rani would get influenced
soon. I should take some precautions before the cupid strikes for
Rani one more time. What do you say, guys!
