ANR about NTR as a director

ANR acted as 'Chanakya' in NTR directed 'Chanakya Chandra Gupta. ANR recollects about the abilities of NTR. "NTR used to be a dedicated person who is very passionate about his work. Thats the reason why he attains success in whatever he does. He was not only an actor and a director. He was also a writer, art director, costumes designer, production manager, production designer, editor. He knows a2z of films. He does not waste even a second in the sets. I used to get the feeling that I was working in the direction of LV Prasad and KV Reddy, when NTR directed me. He was a master of perfection".

SPB's first award

We know SP Bala Subramanyam as one of the best singers India has ever produced. Awards received by him are countless and invaluable. But this award he received way back in 1964 was the sweetest one for Balu.

Madras Social and Cultural club has conducted a competition for singers and SPB came out with flying colors by winning the first prize. At that time films were long way to go for him. Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, who happened to the Chief Minister of AP gave the award away to SPB. Incidentally when SPB won the best singer national award for 'Sankarabharanam' from the same Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy. At that time Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy was the president of India.
