THINKK BIG - No one was aware of Think Big until talks of Petta started. There were people who even questioned the sale of superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta USA rights to Think Big. Think Big’s only other USA release was Kanaa and now superstar's Petta film is associated with Think Big.

When on Dec 19th, the announcement came about Petta, 2.0 was running successfully and superstar's latest film had seen a gargantuan release in USA. The film had good response that it collected $5.5M and it's even running in 7 locations for the 6th consecutive week. With upcoming Petta release, everyone doubted if Thinkk Big can do such a big release.

They are the only distribution company to distribute a superstar film as their 2nd film in USA. They started off with a bang to decide the premiere ticket of superstar's film as $20 and this is the first time his film is releasing at $20 in a decade (It was $25 - $30 for all films since Sivaji). That's a big decision considering the tickets to be fan and family friendly. Not only they think big but they have a big heart to follow superstar's wish to allow for lower ticket rates.

The film is being released in 290+ locations in USA and this is really a big number of locations considering there are 5 other Indian films releasing that week for Indian festival of Pongal/Sankranthi.

The highlight is that the tickets are sold out in some locations even before the theater list was announced. They have lined up a variety of local events including dinner events, flash mob dance events and more to promote Petta this weekend all over the USA in association with the Rajini Makkal Mandram volunteers. They have announced free ticket vouchers through their media partners US TAMIL FM, US Tamil HD.

They have already lined up over 200 standees and 3000 T-shirts of superstar Rajinikanth Petta across major theater locations for promotions.

If the stars are aligned then who knows if superstar who is in USA for the holidays may extend his stay to watch Petta with USA fans :)
