American
Telugu Association (ATA) is a national non-profit organization
established to serve the people of Telugu origin in the North
America. Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) is hosting
the 2004 ATA conference at Rosemont Convention Center, Chicago
from July 2 - July 4, 2004.
TAGC,
the conference host, organized the committee meeting in Chicago,
on Sep. 27, 2003 with a dinner banquet.ATA national members
and local TAGC members attended the meeting. Hanmanth D. Reddy,
Ramesh Tummuru, Chandrasekhar P. Reddy, Venkata Koduru, Murthy
Chimata, Chandra Reddy, Iftekar Shareef and Srinivas Goud
Gopagani are some of the prominent attendees. Introducing
the conference committee members, ATA President AVN Reddy
spoke about various ATA community projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Some of the other committee members, who spoke at the function,
praised TAGC efforts for 2004 conference.
ATA
received generous donations from many patrons. Shanthi and
Prem Reddy family of Victorville, CA and Pailla Sadhana and
Malla Reddy family of Searing Town, NY topped the list. The
local Telugu people organized cultural programs following
the dinner. Ramesh Tummuru gave vote of thanks, where he praised
the TAGC for its hard work for the upcoming conference
