The many fans of Artist and Film Director, Bapu, had a unique opportunity to view his pictures at an exhibition organized at Sree Venkateswaraswami Temple in the Chicago suburb of Aurora on October 11. More than 200 paintings by Bapu were displayed. A large number of Bapu fans displayed their affection for the artist and film director by attending the exhibition despite the inclement weather on a weekday.

Earlier, Bapu was greeted with temple honors by the Temple priests and Dr. Sudarsanarao Akkineni, Chairman of the Temple Board of Trustees and special pooja was conducted. Later, a slide show of Bapu paintings was held.

This was followed by a “Face to Face meeting with Bapu” was conducted with Dr. Chowdary Jampala, editor of Telugu Naadi, the Pulse of Telugu America.The fans asked the artist and filmmaker many questions over an hour. Bapu, with his inimitable wit, answered the questions and charmed the audience. The Telugu Naadi Executive Team presented Bapu with a special memento.

The event was organized by Telugu Naadi, the Pulse of Telugu America, Sri Venkateswaraswami Temple, Tristate Telugu Association and Telugu Association of Greater Chicago.
