Robin Singh Cricket Foundation and Sandeep entertainments Inc along with Commonwealth Cricket league has organized one day 8 a side cricket tournament for all the people of Telugu community of GTA on 11th of August at Downs view cricket field.

Speaking on the occasion the Director of Robin Singh Cricket foundation Mr.Arun Kumar said, “Robin Singh was supposed to here doing coaching camp for cricket playing youngsters of GTA, but Robin Singh was appointed as Fielding coach of Indian cricket team and providing his services to Indian team in England. He will be coming to Canada next year for the coaching camp.”

The tournament was inaugurated by Mario Sergio, MPP, York West. He spoke on the occasion and declared open the Canada chapter of Robin Singh Cricket Foundation by unveiling Robin Singh autographed Indian Cricket Jersey.

Tony Genco, President and CEO of Parc Downs view park Inc spoke on the occasion and felt happy to see so many teams participating and lots of people attending the game in downs View Park. He also stated, “This can be called a park since all of you are here”.

Mr. Pallam Raju, CEO of Om Sai Physiotherapy was the chief guest of the prize distribution function along with Leslie soobrain, President and CEO of Commonwealth cricket league. Mr.Pallam Raju spoke on the occasion and felt to see so many Telugu people coming out to play Cricket and thanked al the teams for participating in the tournament. They gave away the trophies to winners and runners. Leslie soobrain, President and CEO of Commonwealth cricket league spoke on the occasion and about Robin Singh Cricket Foundation and told “Robin hails from the same island of his and proud that he played for India and doing Coaching job to Indian Cricket team.”

Winners of the tournament Robin super 8 were presented with “Om Sai Physiotherapy Trophy” and Runners up Deccan Nawabs were presented with “5th Elementt Trophy” and mementoes. Best performer of each game were presented with “TRINITY” man of the match awards and “Telugu Bharathi” individual awards were presented to best bowler, best batsmen and player of the tournament.

Dr.Khaleel Baig proposed vote of thanks and thanked all those who made this tournament a grand success.

In the end Arun Kumar thanked all the sponsors Om Sai Physiotherapy, 5th Elementt, Telugu Bharathi and Trinity and official umpires Naser khan and Sudeep Sarkar for their support and help without which the tournament might not had happened.
