As
if the Nandamuri heroes exploitation of legend NTR name
is not enough, here is one non-Nandamuri youth hero who
wants to get benefited with NTR's image. Otherwise, how
can one explain the titling 'Adavi Ramudu' to a film that
does not have anybody from Nandamuri lineage as hero? In
addition to this, the popular tune of 'Aresukoboyi paresukunnanu'
is reused in this film as it is.
This
film was initially produced by Aanam Gopala Krishna Reddy
on Ram Sai Arts banner. Aanam Gopala Krishna Reddy was a
popular distributor in Nizam at one point of time. He also
produced a film with Chiranjeevi titled 'Puli'. He stopped
the production of this film in midway as he could not gather
enough financial resources.
Addala
Chanti came forward to reconstruct the film and he produced
the remaining part of the film on 'Friendly Movies' banner.
Addala Chanti always had the knack of getting projects of
heroes who delivered blockbusters in the near past. Like
Krishna Babu (Bala Krishna was fresh from Samarasimha Reddy),
Allari Ramudu (NTR gave a blockbuster Aadi) and Adavi Ramudu
(Prabhas surprised everyone with blockbuster Varsham'.
Story:
This film has the backdrop of forest - that's why the title
'Adavi Ramudu'. Rajendra Kumar - who wrote dialogues for
Kushi - has provided story for this film.
Arti
Agarwal is paired up with Prabhas in this film. Incidentally
Adavi Ramudu is her last film as full-fledged heroine (She
is acting in a guest role for MS Narayana's Koduku). She
is currently cooling off her heels in her home town New
Jersey and preparing to make a comeback with toned up body.
Mass
director B Gopal directs this film. He had a mixed fortune
in the last couple of years. Indra became a blockbuster.
Allari Ramudu just scraped through to become a hit. Palanati
Brahma Naidu became a dud. He is looking forward to reestablish
his credential of director of blockbusters with this film.
Senior
cinematographer VSR Swamy handles camera. Mani Sharma scored
music. Paruchuri brothers penned dialogues.
Audio
of this film was released in a jungle place on 22nd April
2004. This film is releasing on 21st May 2004.
