After a gap of two years and three months, Mani Rathnam is all set to entertain Telugu movie lovers with his film 'Yuva'. This film is about three men of different walks of life intersected into each other's paths in achieving something that is common to each other. This film is set on the backdrop of Osmania University, Hyderabad.

This film is a star-studded film (at least for Tamilians). It sports Madhavan, Surya, Siddardh, Trisha, Meera Jasmine and Isha Deol. Popular Tamil director Bharati Raja is doing a vital role in this film. Mani Rathnam is a perfectionist and he made sure that all these six heroines dub their Tamil dialogues on their own. For the starters Meera Jasmine is a Malayalam girl. Isha Deol is the daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra. When Mani Rathnam called up Isha Deol, she is said to have spoken in Tamil to Mani Rathnam which impressed him a lot.

Inspired story: There are rumors that 'Yuva' is inspired by Amores Perros (Love's A Bitch) and City of the Gods. Some movie lovers speculated that Yuva is an autobiographical story of an alumnus of Osmania University, Hyderabad. But Mani Rathnam trashes all these rumors to announce that his film is close to Rashomon.

AR Rehman scored hit tunes for 'Yuva' film. Mani Rathnam wanted 'Yuva' to be a songless saga. He summoned AR Rehman to come up with a background (BG) tune to be used as BG music. AR Rehman gave 'Yuva' title track. This impressed Mani Rathnam so much that he created six slots of song insertions and asked the too-busy AR Rehman to score five more tunes. That's how the Yuva music album has shaped up.

This film sports enviable technicians in the form of Ravi K Chandran (cinematography), AR Rehman (music), Sabu Cyril (Art), Vikram Dharma (stunts), Sreekar Prasad (editing), Rama Krishna (dialogues) and Veturi (lyrics).

This film is hitting the marquee on 21st of May in 3 languages Telugu (Yuva), Tamil (Ayitha Ezhuthu) and Hindi (Yuva). This film was previewed in New York on Wednesday (19th May) at the Times Square Loew's.
