If there is any movie that can be termed as the director's special of this year, that film is going to be 'Nuvvu-Nenu'. The real hero of this film is the director Teja. RP Patnaik provides the equal contribution in terms of sensational music to 'Nuvvu Nenu'.

Gemini Kiran has produced this film, which has set the box office on the fire from the word 'Go'. He also promoted 'Nuvvu-Nenu' aggressively. The promotion was so aggressive that every four movie promos on Gemini TV contain one of 'Nuvvu-Nenu'.

Teja's screenplay is the highlight of the film. H Sridhar's DTS mixing done at Mumbai is of top-class quality. Teja proved that a new hero and a non-glamorous heroine could make a dent in youth as heartthrobs because of his direction. Teja gave equal preference to all the characters. Telangana Shakuntala is the revelation of this film. Benarjee has got very good popularity in this film as the contract killer, who did not have a single dialogue to utter. Editor Shankar and choreographer Shankar's contributor is also worth applause. Rasool's photography is extraordinary.

This film is a best musical hit of the year by tossing RP Patnaik up against Mani Sharma for the contention of the top position. The song 'Gajuwaka Pilla' is the most popular song of the year. The youth have gone gaga over the songs in theaters. Only two films could able to get the college students doing dances in the theaters. They were Prema desam and Toli Prema. Again, the students never missed dancing in Sudarshan 35mm for the 'Gajuwaka Pilla' song.
