T Trivikrama Rao started a project with the best combination. The team of Kalisundam Raa! - Venkatesh, Simran - Uday Shankar - is repeated. This film proved that releasing the combinations do not work unless there is stuff in the film.

The main drawback of the film is weak story line, which was inspired by old Telugu films. The other indigestible thing in Prematho Raa is the characterization of Venky character 'Chandu'. The team must have thought that this film is going to attract families and ladies. But, even ladies could not imagine Venky in a negative role. They want Venky to be a too-good-to-believe guy. Lack of comedy in the film is another drawback.

Lots of reviewers took liberty to comment about age and obesity of Venky as the film is not good. Venky, who is in all ears for the public and press, wasted no time to travel to USA for a month to shed a meaty 10 kg of weight. He also utilized that USA trip to study special effects and work over the possibility of acting in periodic films.

Venky is known to attract media attention by stuffing the 'most-wanted' heroines in the film. Initially they announced that 7 heroines are acting in the film. And finally the number came down to 4 (Simran, Asha Saini, Isha Gopikar & Mink Singh). Initially, the title Chandu was considered for this film. But Veeru K hijacked it for his yet another flop film 'Chandu' with new star cast. Here is an example about how films are hyped at box office even after the release. The trade reports suggested that it went on for all shows full for 50 days in Jyoti, Vizag. But, it was duly taken out of the same theater on 72nd day. Dr. For the starters, Dr. Rama Naidu leased Jyoti Theater in the beginning of this year.
