Alayam, a Muthyala Subbaiah directed film on Trendset Films banner, starring Sivaji and Honey Rose (debut heroine), is going to release on August 2nd. The film has an array of cast numbering around 50, including lead character artistes and comedians. KB Tilak, senior director, plays an important role as head of a joint family. The entire story revolves round him. Songs projection was held today at Ramanaidu Studio. Of the five songs, two were duets and three were shot on all artistes. An anthyakshari song dwelt at length on the comedians.

Muthyala Subbaiah said that he had introduced all the elements in this film fit for making the family crowds happy. "We took extra care in maintaining clarity in lyrics and music. Koti's music is a big asset." In the wake of some guidelines surfacing about filmmaking, he assured the audience: "I will never make a film which would hurt any community or creed or profession. This film is definitely a healthy entertainer."

R. Anup Chakravarthy, a UK-return, produces the film. He said that he felt delighted to be making a film under the veteran direction of Muthyala Subbaiah, known for his mega family hits. He looked forward to make more and more films like Alayam giving importance to family values.
