Anushka plays female lead. This film is produced by Venkat on RR Moviemakers banner and directed by Srinivasa Reddy. Damarukam is the first socio-fantasy film in the career of Nagarjuna. This is also the highest-budgeted film in the career of Nagarjuna. Chota K Naidu handled cinematography. Charmme has done an item song. Producer Venkat is planning to release the film worldwide on 12 October 2012.
