Dr. Ramineni Foundation USA has announced it’s prestigious annual awards for the year 2006.
The foundation shall be honoring Prof. K Srinath Reddy Professor & Head Department of Cardiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, with Vishishta Puraskaram with a citation, memento and a cash award of Rs. 50,000/-. Also 3 Visesha Purskarams carrying a citation, memento and a cash award of 25,000 per each shall be given to Prf. IV Chalapati Rao an Eminent Academician, Smt Anjali Devi Veteran film actress and Dr. Umar Alisha Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatima Peetam Pithapuram, East Godavari t, who is a Great philanthropist. The awards presentation function wll be held at 6 pm on 12th October 2006 at Convention Center Hotel Marriott, Hyderabad.
These details were disclosed at a press conference held at Hotel Taj Residency on 7th October in which the foundation’s convener Mr. AVS (film artiste) and foundational committee members Vedacharya Ramineni, Dharma Pracharak Ramineni and VV participated and requested the cooperation of all concerned.

Dr. Ramineni Foundation in service of literature, fine arts, culture and human welfare activities was founded by Dr. Ramineni Ayyanna Chowdary a fond lover of Indian Traditions and Cultural Heritage 8 years ago and every year similar awards have been given to eminent personalities in various fields.
In addition to the above awards Pratibha Puraskarams were instituted from last four years and are given to a boy/girl students who secured highest marks in 10th class one from each mandal in Guntur district. This year too the same is extended to 61 students one from each Mandal in Guntur district. These are rural places in Guntur and Krishna districts. These Pratibha Puraskarams winners are honored with Gold Medal, Merit Certificate and Cash award of Rs. 3000/- each. From 2006 Pratibha Puraskarams extended to students secured district 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks among Zilla Parishad High Schools in Guntur districts.
