The unit of VMC Productions has organized a pressmeet in Annapurna Studios on 24th of March 2003 to officially announce the title of the film as 'Simhadri'. NTR looked glamorous in his black shirt and silver pants. A song is being shot on NTR and Ankita in a floor at Annapurna Studios.

Speaking on the occasion, NTR said that they are shooting a song under choreography of Lawrence for the lyrics written by Veturi. The shoot of this song started on 23rd March and would last still 28th of March. Then the unit would move to Vizag where they would shoot a few scenes along with a crucial fight till 15th of April 2003. Then the unit would move to Trivendrum (Kerala) to shoot for 20 days. A few crucial scenes of the talkie part would be shot there. A song would also be shot at Kerala. Then the unit would move to abroad to can a couple of songs. The movie would be released in the month of June 2003. NTR said that the movie would live up to the expectations that is created by teh combination of 'Student No.1' film (NTR, Keeravani and SS Raja Mouli)

This film has both rural and urbane backdrops. This film has got elements that satisfy all the classes like mass, class, family, comedy, sentiment etc. The producer said that a film would become a hit if it arrests the attention of viewers towards the screen for 2 and half hours and he is in the process to deliver Simhadri in such style.

Ankita said she is playing the grand daughter of Nasar in this film. Her role is very bubbly and playful.
