Audio of National award winner Neelakanta's second film in Telugu 'Missamma' was released on 6th November at Rama Naidu studios. Satyam Entertainment that produced films like 'Bollywood Calling' and 'Dhanalakshmi I Love You' in the past has produced this film. Bhumika Chawla, Laya and Sivaji played the main leads. Sivaji and Laya are playing husband and wife as Bhumika is playing the boss in the office of Sivaji. Vandemataram scored music and Sohan Music bought the audio rights.

Ramesh Prasad - son of legend LV Prasad and MD of Prasad Labs - was invited as the chief guest. Incidentally it was LV Prasad who directed the classic film Missamma starring NTR, ANR and Savitri. Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Prasad said that he inherits the same passion LV Prasad has when he made movies. That's the reason why they have constructed Prasad Labs and Prasad's multiplex and IMAX. He wished the makers all the best.

Director Neelakanta said that classic Missamma and this Missamma has something in common. That is comedy. Neelakanta said that everybody in the unit worked with passion and it would reflect in the quality of the film as well. He said that he has highest regards for the Missamma that was directed by the legend LV Prasad. He said he would be very happy if this Missamma turns out to be even an iota of the old classic Missamma.

Bhumika Chawla, Laya and Sivaji also expressed their happiness in working for Missamma. Laya and Sivaji anchored the event. The live orchestra of Vandemataram Srinivas performed all the songs in this film.
