Magadheera is the first Telugu Blu Ray DVD to be released in Inida. Blu Ray DVD was launched at a function organized in Marriot hotel on the evening of 27 February.

Ram Charan Teja, Allu Arvind, MM Keeravani and SS Rajamouli attended it.

Keeravani launched the DVD and gave the first unit to the journalist Pasupuleti Rama Rao.

Allu Arvind said, “It costs around 10 lacs to produce Blu Ray disc and Balaji Videos is not hesitating about costs and doing it for the first time in Telugu. It’s the time of technology revolution. Geeta Arts has always been the frontrunner in implementing new technologies. We started the computerized accounting first, we made the first DTS movie in Telugu and we introduced first Telugu movie based mobile game. There are also special features in this DVD like the making of Magadheera. People have been asking us why we are not doing 100 days function of Magadheera. The current political turmoil is not giving us an opportunity to hold a public function.”

Rajamouli said, “Allu Sirish is behind this function. He always looks for ways of getting more revenue through new avenues. I am eagerly looking forward to watch this DVD.”

Ram Charan Teja said, “The blu-ray DVD has high resolution format and it has much more hi-definition clarity compared to the regular DVD format. I am happy that the making part of the movie is included. I used to enjoy the making of movie features of Jackie Chan movies when I was a kid.”
