Muhurat of Bala Krishna's latest film was held at Annapurna studios in the morning of 25th June 2003. Devender Goud clapped on the photos of Gods. Akkineni Nageswara Rao switched on the camera.

Speaking on the occasion, producer Bellamkonda thanked Bala Krishna for giving him the distinction of producing a movie each with Balayya for two consecutive years. Producer said that he did the mistake of hastening the postproduction activities of Chennakesava Reddy by confirming the release date much in advance. He said that he would made sure that he wound not repeat that mistake again.

Bala Krishna is playing the role of Police Commissioner of Vijayawada city in this film. The name of hero character of this film would be the title of this film as well. We have to wait and see if they keep 'Swamy' as the title.
