Telugu boy Vishal made it big in Telugu film industry. The dubbing films of his Tamil blockbusters did a decent business in Telugu too. Vishal is doing his first directing Telugu film ‘Salute’. Nayana Tara is doing female lead. Harris Jayaraj scores music. Upendra is doing a vital character. This film’s muhurat was held at Annapurna studios today.

D Rama Naidu (clap), K Devi Vara Prasad (camera switch on) and Puri Jagan (direction) did the honors.

Speaking on the occasion Vishal said, “This is my first straight Telugu film. I am happy to enter Telugu film industry with a film that is being produced by GK Film Corporation. I am doing a role of honest police officer (ACP). Upendra is doing an important role. All my films which were dubbed in Telugu registered good success by getting me nice following. I hope that this film with its inspiring storyline will lay a strong foundation for me in Telugu film industry. Experienced technicians like Harris Jayaraj and RD Rajs Sekhar are working for this film. The regular shooting starts tomorrow with canning of a song in Ramoji Film city. 90% of the shoot will be done in Hyderabad.”

Director Raja sekhar said, “It is the happiest day in my life and I would like to thank Vikram Krishna and GK Reddy for giving me this chance. Vishal role is going to be very powerful. I worked on this subject for 12 months.”

Music director Harris Jayaraj said, “Director Raja sekhar planned this subject with a perfect script. Telugu music lovers have been encouraging me since Cheli film. Chandra Bose and Sirivennela penned lyrics for this film. Music is going to be an asset for this film. I hope that this film will become a milestone in Vishal‘s career.”

Producer Vikram Krishna said, “The story of this film is based on a real life incident. I am happy to do this film in Telugu.”
