Jeevitha has organized a press conference at shooting location in Nanakramguda to explain the progress of her film 'Aptudu' with Raja Sekhar as hero.

Jeevitha said that the shooting of this film was started on 1st of April and went on till 6th of April. The second schedule was started on 19th of April and this schedule would continue till the completion of talkie part of the film. This film is aimed at the release in the last week of July 2004.

Suman is playing a guest role. Eeswari Rao - a noted television actress who made her debut as heroine with Rajendra Prasad Rambantu with the screen name Vyjayanti - is paired up with Suman in this film.

Mukesh Rushi is doing the role of bad guy. He has six younger brothers who are also villains. This film also boasts off comedy artists like Sunil, Kondavalasa, Krishna Bhagavan, AVS etc.

Heroine Anjala Jhaveri said that she is making a comeback in Telugu films after a break of 2 years. She said that she did an item song with Mahesh Babu in Nani. She would be doing another item song with Chiranjeevi in 'Shankar Dada MBBS'. She said that she is playing the character of a girl who stays in the same colony where the hero resides in 'Aptudu'.

Hero Raja Sekhar said that he got to make his debut through 'Vendemataram' film when Suman's dates were unavailable for the director T Krishna. He said that he is feeling happy to see Suman doing a guest role in 'Aptudu'. He said that 'Aptudu' is his 9th film in the direction of Muthyala Subbaiah. Raja Sekhar said that he is working with Ramana Gogula (music) and Bhupati (camera) for the first time.

Actor Sunil said that he is doing the role of auto driver in this film and his role is a full length comedy role.
