Entire Telugu film industry is going to felicitate Padmabhushan Chiranjeevi in a grand function arranged in Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on the evening of 23rd April. Amitab Bachchan is being invited as chief guest. Other famous celebrities from Bollywood and Southern states are going to grace the occasion.
KC Sekhara Babu (President of AP Film Producers Association) arranged a press meet of the organizing committee today to explain the progress. Here is list of the committee.

Tammareddy Bharadwaja who heads the cultural wing gave the following details.
1. The function will start at 4 pm and the cultural functions will go on till 8 pm.
2. Padma Sri Sobhana is going to perform dance during the starting and closing of function.
3. Heroines are going to perform dances to the medleys of Chiranjeevi songs (from 1978 to 2005) in the direction of Lawrence, Raju Sundaram and Sundaram.
4. A short film explaining the progress of Chiranjeevi career (decade wise) will be shown at regular intervals.
5. Some of the producers, directors and heroines who worked with Chiranjeevi will share their memories with the audience.
6. Allu Arjun is going to perform a special dance.
7. Chiranjeevi will be felicitated at the end of the function.
KS Rama Rao said that all of them are wholeheartedly working for the success of this event.
Srikanth said that MAA (Movie Artists Association) is extending full cooperation to make this event a success. He said that initially MAA wanted to felicitate Chiranjeevi. Now it has become a universal event while all the bodies of Telugu film industry are being roped in.
Sagar said that directors association is working towards the success of the event.
Ajay Kumar, who heads Zee Telugu, said that it is a great opportunity for Zee Telugu channel to obtain exclusive telecast rights of the event. He said that it is a great achievement to grab opportunity to broadcast such a huge event with in one year of starting Zee Telugu channel.
Vijayendra Reddy (President of Hyderabad Film Chamber) wished this event a grand success. He also requested everybody to vote for Karunya who is racing ahead in Indian Idol competition being held on Sony TV.
