MAA TV has today launched its much-hyped game show Bommarillu at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. Former heroine Suhasini Maniratnam makes her debut as an anchor in Telugu small screen industry. A media conference was addressed by MAA TV Chief Executive Officer Sharath Marar and the actress. The one-hour programme's telecast will commence from June 2nd during prime time on a four-day-a-week schedule.

Marar said that Bommarillu happens to be the first, costliest and unique game show with the power to hook the audiences to the television. Detailing the show, he said that three families participate in the game, while one would emerge as the winner of the gift – the dream house worth Rs. 15-20 lakh in Hyderabad. The other two would check out alluring gifts. He thanked Suhasini for readily accepting to take up anchoring for the programme.

Suhasini said: "I acted in 225 films, of which 95 were in Telugu, in a career of 28 years. But, so far I have not taken to TV industry here, though I did in Tamil earlier. I was so thrilled when I came to know about the program. There is a scope for big excitement in realty and game shows, compared to directing the fabricated subjects. Bommarillu is one such exciting program for homely audiences," she said.

"The gift – Dream House – to the winner is going to rock with the viewers and participants. It is everybody's dream to have his own dream house. Even I too don't have mine. This will sure create fantastic curiosity among the people," Suhasini said, and compared Bommarillu program with the immensely popular ones – KBC and Jackpot. Highlight of this MAA TV concept is that the participants have the option to choose questions of their choice.
