at the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 (south)
Hyderabad - June 10, 2011: The 58th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 (South) - a mighty congregation of pure talent and spectacular cinema, is here again. The awards will be presented by leading telecom brand, Idea Cellular, third time in a row.
Announcing the most anticipated and honored award ceremony of the year, the dashing Ram Charan Tej along with Mr. Tarun Rai - Chief Executive Officer, Worldwide Media and Mr. Ramakrishna B, Chief Operating Officer - Andhra Pradesh, Idea cellular, lit the lamp marking the start to yet another magical journey of honoring South Indian cinema's best during a press conference at The Park Hotel, Hyderabad.
Filmfare has always honoured the spirit of excellence in cinema and over the years the Filmfare trophy has occupied a place of pride in star homes. This year, we have quite literally added more weight to the trophy. The winners will be presented with trophies adhering to the original weight and design. In addition, be prepared for a star-studded extravaganza where the celebs come attired in their designer best, the stars wow their peers with dazzling performances and the red carpet followed by the after-party, are a riot. The 58th idea Filmfare Awards 2010 (South) promises all this and more.
Enthused about the event, Mr. Tarun Rai, Chief executive Officer, Worldwide Media said, ''The only award that matches the stature and legacy of the Filmfare Awards is Hollywood's Academy Awards. While they have their 'Oscar', we have our 'Black Lady'.
The Black Lady is the ultimate recognition of the talented stars of our film industry. We thought this year we should also celebrate the Black Lady herself. As a tribute we decided to make this year's Black Lady from its original mould, in its original size and using the same metal, brass.
So who will get the Black Lady this year? india has voted. The nominations were released at a press conference held in Chennai on May 31, 2011. We will know the winners at a spectacular show on July 2, 2011 at Hyderabad International Convention centre's
