Silk & Cotton Fab of India" Exhibition Begans in City
Inaugurated by Tollywood Actress Anukriti Sharma

Tollywood Actress Anukriti Sharma Inaugurated "Silk & Cotton Fab of India" Exhibition, at T.T.D. Kalyan Mandapam, Liberty Cross Road, Himayath Nagar, Hyderabad, Which is organised by Gramin Hastkala Vikas Samiti. It will go on till 28th June 2015. “Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed hand made cotton, silk saris & home furnishings ,“Which can see the different style and concept coming together under one roof” Actress Anukriti, said on the occassion.

“The artisan, Weavers, designers from all over India has come to Hyderabad to exhibit their ethnic weaves and traditional pure silk & cotton. More than 100 weavers are part of this year’s exhibiting gorgeous Uppadas, Banaras silks, Gadwals, Dharmavaram, Jamdanis, Jamawars and Sambalpuris” Organizer of Silk & Cotton Fab of India, Jayesh Kumar Gupta said. From saris, dress materials, items of silk & cotton saree, suit dress material, fashion jewelry, home furnishing designer clothes from each region of the country,he added.

14 handloom weaving States including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat , Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal and many designers from metros working in collaboration with the weavers are displaying more than 1,50,000 variety of their work here. The Silk and Cotton handloom products on display have a range between Rs.50 and Rs.20,000 at the upper end for exclusive hand crafted sarees.

Showcasing Coimbatore silk, kanjeewaram silk from Tamilnadu. bangalore silk, crepe & georgette saree, raw silk material from Karnataka. kalamkari, pochampally, mangalgiri dress material, upada, gadwal, dharmawaram, pure silk zari saree from Andhra Pradesh. tassar, kantha, bhagalpur silk dress material, block handprint, khadi silk, & cotton dress material from Bihar. kosa silk saree, ghicha silk saree, mulbery raw silk, block printed silk saree from Chhattisgarh. bandhani, patola, kutch embroidery, gujarati mirror work & designer kurti from Gujarat and many more at the exposition.
