Hyderabad
25 January 2013

Logo and teaser of Ravi Teja’s latest film Balupu was launched at a function organized in Marigold Hotel at Greenlands, Hyderabad. Pearl V Potluri presents it and Param V Potluri is producing this film on PVP banner. Gopichand Malineni is the director. Ravi Teja launched the teaser. PVP's executive director Rajeev Kamineni launched the logo.

Speaking on occasion Ravi Teja said, “This is my second film in Gopichand’s direction. It’s an action entertainer. Prasad V Potluri too started off as a zero and became hero in life. I am doing for the first time with both heroines – Shruti Hassan and Anjali. I loved teaser. Thaman gave beautiful music.”

Prasad V Potluri said, “Ravi Teja is a friend from school days to me. Both the heroines – Shruti and Anjali will regale audiences.”

Director Gopichand Malineni said, “Balupu will give what audiences expect from Ravi Teja. The energy shown in this teaser is just 10% of what we are going to show in the movie. I feel good to work in the production no.1 of PVP banner. I met Prasad V Potluri during the making of Bodyguard. He has passion for cinema with good judgment. Ravi Teja is like my brother. Shruti Hassan has acted as a silent girl in Gabbar Singh. She is completely energetic in this movie. Anjali is doing an important role. We had signed her before the release of SVSC. She okayed the movie without listening to the story. Story given by Bobby has spark in it.”

Shruti Hassan said, “I am doing an entertainment oriented role for the first time. There is positive energy in the film. I am happy to work with Ravi Teja.”

Anjali said, “It’s a Ravi Teja brand film. Ravi Teja is the same on on-screen and off-screen. I want to work with him again.”

Kona Venkat said, “The title Balupu is meant positively. We write the script by keeping Ravi Teja in mind.”
