The prestigious film Thammudu, starring Nithiin in the lead role and directed by Sriram Venu, is being produced by renowned production house Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju and Shirish are bankrolling the film, which features key roles played by Laya, Varsha Bollamma, and Sapthami Gowda. Thammudu is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 4. The trailer was launched today in Hyderabad with much fanfare.

At the event, Editor Prawin Pudi said, “It’s been an honor to work on some brilliant films under Dil Raju’s banner. Director Sriram Venu has brought a very fresh presentation to 'Thammudu'. The performances by Nithiin and the rest of the cast are truly commendable. I sincerely hope the film achieves great success.”

Cinematographer K.V. Guhan shared, “I’ve previously worked with Sriram Venu on MCA and Vakeel Saab. 'Thammudu' is a surprising film, and Sriram is bringing a unique subject to the screen. I hope you all liked the trailer, and I wish for this film to reach a wide audience.”

Child artist Baby Deetya said, “My character in the movie is named Deetya. I really enjoyed working with everyone on set. They treated me so well - not just by giving chocolates, but by talking to me and playing with me. Nithiin sir was especially fun to be around.”

Actress Sapthami Gowda commented,“I’m excited to make my Telugu debut with 'Thammudu'. I was the first one to be cast in the film and I play a character named Ratna. Nithiin, Laya, Varsha, and Swasika all delivered powerful performances. I don’t share too many scenes with them, and there’s a reason for that - watch the film to find out! A character named Danny appears alongside me. This is my third film with music director Ajaneesh Loknath, and I’m sure you’ve noticed how impactful the BGM is in the trailer. I'm confident audiences will love this movie.”

Actress Swasika VJ shared, “I feel really happy to have gotten a role in 'Thammudu'. I’m still in the early stages of my career, so getting a meaningful role at this time means a lot. I thank producer Dil Raju and director Sriram Venu for this opportunity. Actress Laya, who is making a comeback after a 20-year break, said, “After being away from the film industry for two decades, I’ve begun a new chapter in my acting journey with 'Thammudu'. It truly feels like returning home. When I was considering a comeback, I had doubts and fears. But the team of this film dispelled those worries and gave me confidence. Director Sriram Venu spent two days on a photo shoot with me before bringing me on board. I’m also grateful to Dil Raju’s banner for giving opportunities to many artists, including myself. It was a joy to work with my on-screen ‘Thammudu’, Nithiin. My family - my husband and kids have been a great support in my return. I’m now getting the chance to do the kind of roles and films I always wanted. We all believe that 'Thammudu' will definitely be a success.”

Producer Dil Raju said, "After the success of our Sankranthi release F3, we were eagerly waiting to announce the release date for Thammudu. Director Sriram Venu has worked tirelessly on this project for the past four years. Right from the beginning, he was clear that he wanted to design the film with a fresh visual and sound experience and he delivered exactly that, with great dedication. Some media friends have been asking whether this film is similar to Muddula Maavayya. Though Thammudu is a story centered around the bond between a brother and sister, it is a completely new concept. There’s no reference point for it. After watching the trailer, we’ve received a great response from everyone, and we believe the same response will continue when the film hits theaters. I’m confident Thammudu will set a new benchmark in this genre.

When we were considering who should play the sister’s role, Sriram approached Laya garu in the US and convinced her with the script. I’m very happy that she’s making her return to cinema through our banner. After Kantara, Sriram cast Sapthami Gowda in a strong role as well. This film is very important for Nithiin. We’ve been receiving calls and messages from media friends praising the trailer. We feel like we’ve written our exam and now we’re waiting for the results on July 4. We are confident audiences will appreciate the film. These days, bringing audiences to theaters is not easy. But thanks to the positive response to our trailer, the media has supported us with great coverage. If only four or five films have done well in the last six months, it reflects the current theatrical climate.

Our director, hero, and the entire team have worked hard to deliver a quality film. Thammudu is a movie meant to be enjoyed in theaters, and we believe audiences definitely will. To achieve technical excellence, the shoot took longer than expected. When I questioned Venu about it, he explained that they were working on enhancing the visual and sound quality. When I raised concerns about the budget, he said, 'From now on, I won’t draw a single rupee.' Similarly, when I called Nithiin and explained the situation, he said, 'Raju garu, send whatever you can - I won’t make any big demands for remuneration.' It’s truly commendable when a director and hero support the producer like this. I hope this sets a new trend in the industry. If a film succeeds, everyone benefits. But if it fails, it’s the producer and distributor who take the hit.

With Thammudu, we wanted the trailer’s views to be organic and genuine. If the content is good, audiences will always support it. Telugu cinema holds the number one position today, and maintaining that position requires all of us to work hard. Every film must be presented honestly to audiences, and for that, we also need the continued support of the media."

Director Sriram Venu said, "I’m truly happy with the response we’ve received for the Thammudu trailer. Everything I wanted to say was already shown on screen through the trailer. Now, I’m eager to hear what you all will say about the film after its release. Some actors rejected the script when I first pitched it, but Nithiin understood the emotional depth of the story and gave me complete creative freedom. I credit the film’s success - if it happens tomorrow to Dil Raju garu, Nithiin, Laya garu, and my entire team.

The film faced several challenges - scheduling, date issues, and weather conditions - which led to some delays. Thammudu is a fully commercial entertainer, but with a fresh screenplay and storytelling approach. It’s very different from Icon or any of my previous works. The women in my life - my mother, sister, daughter, and wife - are the source of my emotional inspiration. That’s why those emotions are reflected in my films. Nithiin is a hero who prioritizes the film over himself. After Pawan Kalyan garu, I’ve seen that quality in Nithiin. All three of us - Nithiin, Dil Raju garu, and I are big fans of Pawan garu. That’s why we named our movie Thammudu, as a tribute."

Hero Nithiin said. "We believe that the trailer of Thammudu has struck a chord with all of you. Laya garu plays a very important role in this movie, and she has delivered an outstanding performance. Sapthami Gowda also plays a key role, and Swasika, who may appear soft-spoken, has a character that will truly surprise you. Editor Praveen Pudi, our DOP Guhan garu, and music director Ajaneesh have all delivered superb output. Director Venu garu worked incredibly hard on this film for four years. Most of our shooting took place in forest locations, which brought its own challenges.

Back at the beginning of my career, Dil Raju garu invested the highest budget for my film Dil, even spending ₹60 lakhs on a set song at the time - and that movie became a big hit. Once again, Thammudu has received the highest budget in my career, and I sincerely hope it becomes a major success when it releases on July 4th."

దర్శకుడు శ్రీరామ్ వేణు మాట్లాడుతూ - తమ్ముడు మూవీ ట్రైలర్ కు మీ దగ్గర నుంచి వస్తున్న రెస్పాన్స్ చూస్తుంటే ఆనందంగా ఉంది. నేను మాట్లాడాల్సింది అంతా స్క్రీన్ మీద ట్రైలర్ లో చూశారు. ఇప్పటినుంచి మా మూవీ గురించి మీరు ఏం చెబుతారో వినాలని ఎదురుచూస్తున్నా. తమ్ముడు కథను కొందరు హీరోలకు చెబితే రిజెక్ట్ చేశారు. కానీ నితిన్ ఈ కథలోని ఎమోషన్ అర్థం చేసుకుని నాకు ఫుల్ ఫ్రీడమ్ ఇచ్చారు. రేపు తమ్ముడు సినిమా సాధించబోయే సక్సెస్ కు క్రెడిట్ ను దిల్ రాజు గారికి, నితిన్ కు, లయ గారికి, నా ఇతర టీమ్ అందరికీ ఇస్తాను. ఈ సినిమాకు షెడ్యూల్, డేట్స్, వెదర్ ఇష్యూస్ వచ్చాయి. అందుకే కొంత లేట్ అయ్యింది. తమ్ముడు పక్కా ఔట్ అండ్ ఔట్ కమర్షియల్ మూవీ. అయితే ఇందులో కొత్త స్క్రీన్ ప్లే చూస్తారు. ఐకాన్ కథ వేరు, ఇది వేరు. మా మదర్, సిస్టర్, డాటర్, వైఫ్..ఇలా నా లైఫ్ లో ప్రేమించే వుమెన్ ఉన్నారు. అందుకే నా ఎమోషన్స్ అన్నీ వాళ్లతోనే ఉంటాయి. నా మూవీస్ లోనూ అదే రిఫ్లెక్ట్ అవుతుంటుంది. తన కోసం కాకుండా సినిమా కోసం ఆలోచించే హీరో నితిన్. పవన్ గారి తర్వాత అలాంటి క్వాలిటీ నితిన్ లో చూశాను. నితిన్, నేను, రాజు గారు పవన్ గారి ఫ్యాన్స్. ఆయన అభిమానులుగా మా మూవీకి తమ్ముడు టైటిల్ పెట్టుకున్నాం. అన్నారు.

హీరో నితిన్ మాట్లాడుతూ - తమ్ముడు మూవీ ట్రైలర్ మీ అందరికీ నచ్చిందని నమ్ముతున్నాం. ఈ సినిమాకు లయ గారు చాలా ఇంపార్టెంట్. ఆమె చాలా బాగా పర్ ఫార్మ్ చేశారు. అలాగే సప్తమి గౌడ ఈ చిత్రంలో కీ రోల్ చేశారు. స్వసిక చూడ్డానికి సాఫ్ట్ గా ఉంది గానీ ఈ మూవీలో ఆమె క్యారెక్టర్ సర్ ప్రైజ్ చేస్తుంది. నా ఎడిటర్ ప్రవీణ్ పూడి, మా డీవోపీ గుహన్ గారు, అజనీష్ గారు సూపర్బ్ గా ఔట్ పుట్ ఇచ్చారు. మా డైరెక్టర్ వేణు గారు నాలుగేళ్లు ఈ చిత్రం కోసం కష్టపడ్డారు. ఎక్కువగా ఫారెస్ట్ లో షూట్ చేశాం. నా కెరీర్ బిగినింగ్ లో దిల్ సినిమాకు రాజు గారు హయ్యెస్ట్ బడ్జెట్ పెట్టారు. అప్పట్లో సెట్ సాంగ్ కోసం 60 లక్షల రూపాయలు ఖర్చు చేశారు. ఆ సినిమా మంచి హిట్ అయ్యింది. మళ్లీ తమ్ముడు మూవీకి నా కెరీర్ లోనే హయ్యెస్ట్ బడ్జెట్ ఖర్చు చేశారు. జూలై 4న మా మూవీ పెద్ద హిట్ కావాలని కోరుకుంటున్నా. అన్నారు.
