Telugu cinema made a resounding impact at the 71st National Film Awards, announced today.
Bhagavanth Kesari, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, won the Best Telugu Film award.
HanuMan secured two major accolades — Best Film in the Animation and Visual Effects category and Best Action Choreography, awarded to Nandu and Prithvi.
The film Baby also bagged two awards:
Sai Rajesh won for Best Screenplay Writer.
Rohit won Best Male Playback Singer for the song "Preminchestunna".
Kasarla Shyam won Best Lyricist for the emotional folk song "Ooru Palletooru" from Balagam.
In the Best Child Artist category, Master Sukrithi Veni Bandreddy received the award for her performance in Gandhi Tata Chettu.
Additionally:
Sandeep Reddy Vanga (a Telugu director) Hindifilm Animal won Best Background Music and Best Sound Design. The film also received a Special Mention Award for Re-recording/Mixing.
Vaathi (released as SIR in Telugu), produced by Naga Vamsi and directed by Venky Atluri, earned G.V. Prakash Kumar the award for Best Music Director.
These awards are a testament to the rising creative and technical excellence of Telugu cinema on a national platform.

ఈరోజు ప్రకటించిన 71 వ నేషనల్ ఫిల్మ్ అవార్డుల్లో స్పష్టంగా మన తెలుగు సినిమా హవా కనిపించింది. ఉత్తమ తెలుగు చిత్రం విభాగానికి నందమూరి బాలకృష్ణ నటించిన 'భగవంత్ కేసరి' అవార్డుని సొంతం చేసుకుంది. యానిమేషన్ మరియు విజువల్ ఎఫెక్టుల విభాగంలో 'హనుమాన్' సినిమాకు ఉత్తమ చిత్రం అవార్డు లభించడంతో పాటూ బెస్ట్ యాక్షన్ కొరియోగ్రఫీ విభాగంలో అవార్డు సంపాదించుకుంది. నందు మరియు పృద్వీ లకు ఈ అవార్డు లభించింది. 'బేబీ' సినిమాకు సైతం రెండు అవార్డులు రావడం జరిగింది. ఉత్తమ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రైటర్ విభాగానికి సాయి రాజేష్ మరియు ఉత్తమ సింగర్ విభాగానికి 'ప్రేమిస్తున్నా' పాటకు రోహిత్ అవార్డులు గెలుపొందడం జరిగింది. ఉత్తమ పాటల రచయితగా కాసర్ల శ్యామ్ 'బలగం' చిత్రానికి ఆయన రాసిన 'ఊరూ పల్లెటూరు' పాటకు గానూ పొందడం జరిగింది. వీటితో పాటూ బెస్ట్ చైల్డ్ ఆర్టిస్ట్ విభాగానానికి గానూ 'గాంధీ తాత చెట్టు' సినిమాలో నటించిన మాస్టర్ సుకృతి వేణి బండ్రెడ్డి కు అవార్డు లభించింది.
ఇవే కాకుండా తెలుగు దర్శకుడు సందీప్ రెడ్డి దర్శకత్వం వహించిన 'యానిమల్' (హిందీ) కు బెస్ట్ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ అవార్డుతో పాటూ బెస్ట్ సౌండ్ డిజైనింగ్ అవార్డు కూడా లభించడం జరిగింది. వీటితో పాటూ 'యానిమల్' సినిమా రీ రికార్డింగ్ మిక్సింగ్ లో ప్రత్యేక ప్రశంశ అవార్డును కూడా పొందింది. నాగ వంశీ నిర్మాతగా, వెంకీ అట్లూరి దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన వాతి (తెలుగులో 'సార్') కు జీవీ ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ ఉత్తమ సంగీత దర్శకుడి అవార్డు పొందారు.
