A wave of sorrow has engulfed the Allu family. Veteran producer Allu Aravind's mother, Allu Kanakaratnamma, passed away in the early hours of Friday at 1:45 AM. She was 94 years old and passed away due to age-related ailments.
Allu Kanakaratnamma and Allu Ramalingaiah had three children—two daughters and one son. Her grandsons, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, are currently away due to shooting commitments—one in Mumbai and the other in Mysore. Family sources say both are expected to return home by this afternoon.
Her son Allu Aravind and son-in-law Chiranjeevi are overseeing all the funeral arrangements. Her mortal remains have been placed at Allu Aravind’s residence for visitors to pay their respects. The final rites will be performed later this afternoon at Kokapet.
Several members of the film fraternity are arriving at Allu Aravind’s residence to offer their condolences and pay their respects upon hearing the news of her demise.
