Renowned producer Allu Aravind performed the 11th-day rites of his mother, Kanakaratnamma, on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Megastar Chiranjeevi, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Sai Dharam Tej, and several other members of the Mega family, who came to support and console the Allu family.

Speaking on the occasion, Allu Aravind shared heartfelt memories about his mother’s remarkable life:

“We celebrated my mother’s 11th day ceremony instead of mourning. When she passed away, we were sad for a couple of hours, but then we decided to bid her farewell with joy. She lived a long, fulfilling life of 94 years – a blessing not many are fortunate to have. As the wife of legendary actor Allu Ramalingaiah, who acted in more than a thousand films, she stood as the foundation of our family. She was blessed to have Chiranjeevi garu as her son-in-law, a megastar and humanitarian. She saw her grandchildren Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Allu Sirish, and Allu Venkatesh achieve global recognition, and she was proud of stars like Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej in the family. She spent her days happily surrounded by 12 great-grandchildren. Such a blessed life comes to one in millions, and that is why we decided to celebrate her farewell with gratitude instead of grief.”

Recollecting her journey, he said:
“When my mother was just sixteen, my father Ramalingaiah fell in love with her and their journey together began. My father was a hardcore communist. Even if he returned late at night with his comrades, my mother would cook and take care of them. While she was pregnant with me, my father was imprisoned in Cuddalore Jail for his activism. Later, he joined Praja Natya Mandali and eventually entered cinema with Puttillu, but opportunities were scarce until Mooga Manasulu brought him stardom. During those tough years, my mother held the family together.”

Aravind also recalled how his mother lived independently after the passing of his father:
“Even after my father passed away, my mother continued to live on her own. My sister, Dr. Vasantha Lakshmi, took care of her selflessly, more than a daughter would. No amount of money could ever repay that debt. Doctors like Dr. Venkateswara Rao, Dr. Sai Praveen, and the Apollo management extended constant support. Nurses Shiva Parvathi, Kranti, and Nisha cared for her round the clock. On my friend Gopichand’s advice, we never put her in an ICU; instead, we brought ICU facilities home to ensure she was comfortable in her final days. That’s why her farewell was peaceful, dignified, and filled with satisfaction.”

Recalling special memories, he said:
“Before Kalyan Babu (Pawan Kalyan) entered films, my mother fondly called him ‘Kalyani’ and used to say he looked handsome enough to become a hero. Even with Chiranjeevi garu, no matter how big a superstar he was, at home he was always her loving son-in-law. During her last days, when she was serious, Chiranjeevi garu came to see her. She opened her eyes with joy and tried to say something. That’s how much love she had for him, and he too reciprocated the same affection. She had deep bonds and love for every member of our family.

Being born to such a great mother is the greatest fortune of my life.”

కనకరత్నమ్మ లాంటి తల్లి కడుపున పుట్టడం గొప్ప అదృష్టంగా భావిస్తున్నాను - అల్లు అరవింద్

ప్రముఖ నిర్మాత అల్లు అరవింద్ తల్లి కనకరత్నమ్మ దశదిన కర్మను సోమవారం నాడు నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి, ఏపీ డిప్యూటీ సీఎం పవన్ కళ్యాణ్‌లతో పాటుగా రామ్ చరణ్, సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ ఇలా మెగా హీరోలంతా అల్లు కుటుంబ సభ్యుల్ని పరామర్శించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో అల్లు అరవింద్ మాట్లాడుతూ తన తల్లి గురించి ఎన్నో విషయాల్ని పంచుకున్నారు. పరిపూర్ణమైన జీవితాన్ని గడిపిన అల్లు కనకరత్నమ్మ గురించి ఆయన ఇంకేం చెప్పారంటే..

‘మా అమ్మ గారు ఇహలోకాల్ని వదిలి పరలోకాలకు ప్రయాణించే మొదటి రోజుని సంతోషంగా నిర్వహించాం. మా అమ్మ గారి 11వ రోజుని సెలెబ్రేట్ చేశాం. అలా ఎందుకు సెలెబ్రేట్ చేశామన్న వివరణ అందరికీ ఇవ్వాలని అనిపించింది. మా తల్లి గారు చనిపోయినప్పుడు మా ఫ్యామిలీ మెంబర్స్ అంతా కూడా కొంత బాధపడ్డాం. మా తల్లి మా నుంచి విడిపోయిందని బాధపడ్డాం కానీ ఓ రెండు గంటల తరువాత దాన్నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చాం. మా తల్లిని సంతోషంగా సాగనంపాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాం. నాకు తెలిసి ఇటువంటి ఈ 94 ఏళ్ల సుదీర్ఘమైన జీవితం ఎవ్వరికీ కలిగి ఉండకపోవచ్చు. వెయ్యి చిత్రాలకు పైగా నటించిన అల్లు రామలింగయ్య భార్యగా జీవితాన్ని సాగించారు. ఆమె కన్నవారిలో నేను ఉన్నాను. నా గురించి పెద్దగా చెప్పుకోవాల్సిన పని లేదు. మెగాస్టార్, గొప్ప మానవతావాది లాంటి చిరంజీవి గారిని అల్లుడిలా పొందారు. ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా గుర్తింపు పొందిన అల్లు అర్జున్, రామ్ చరణ్, అల్లు శిరీష్, అల్లు వెంకటేష్ వంటి మనవళ్లను చూశారు.

వరుణ్ తేజ్, సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ ఇలా మా కుటుంబంలో ఎంతో మంది స్టార్స్ ఉన్నారు. వారందరినీ మా అమ్మ చూస్తూ సంతోషించేవారు. 12 మంది ముని మనవళ్లు, మనవరాళ్లతో సంతోషంగా గడిపేవారు. ఆమె తుది ప్రయాణంలో ఇలా ముని మనవళ్లు, ముని మనవరాల్లు పాల్గొన్నారు. ఇలాంటి జీవితం కోట్లలో, పది కోట్లలో ఒక్కరికి వస్తుంది. అలాంటి వ్యక్తి చివరి ప్రయాణాన్ని దు:ఖంతో కాకుండా సంతోషంగా, సంతృప్తిపరంగా వీడ్కోలు ఇవ్వాలని కుటుంబ సభ్యులు నిర్ణయించుకున్నాం.

పదహారేళ్ల బాలిక రాట్నం ఉడుకుతుంటే.. యువకుడైన రామలింగయ్య చూసి ఇష్టపడ్డారు. అలా వారిద్దరి ప్రయాణం మొదలైంది. మా నాన్న హార్డ్ కోర్ కమ్యూనిస్టు. మా నాన్నగారు అర్దరాత్రి సహచరులతో వచ్చినా సరే మా అమ్మ గారు వండి పెట్టేవారు. నేను మా అమ్మ కడుపులో ఉండగా మా నాన్న గారిని కడలూరు జైల్లో పెట్టారు. స్వతంత్ర్య పోరాటం, కమ్యూనిస్టుగా ఉండటం, జైలుకు వెళ్లడం వంటివి జరుగుతుండేవి. ఆ తరువాత ప్రజా నాట్యమండలిలో చేరడం, గరికపాటి రాజారావు గారు ‘పుట్టిల్లు’ చిత్రంలో మా నాన్న గారికి అవకాశం ఇచ్చారు. అయితే ఆ తరువాత ఎక్కువ అవకాశాలేవీ రాలేదు.

ఆ సమయంలో కుటుంబ పోషణ కష్టంగా ఉండేదని మా అమ్మ గారు చెబుతుండేవారు. ‘మూగ మనసులు’ తరువాత స్టార్డం వచ్చింది. అలాంటి ప్రయాణం సాగించిన వ్యక్తి జీవితాన్ని వివరంగా చెప్పాలని అనుకుంటున్నాను. నా పెళ్లి అయిన తరువాత ఓ పాతికేళ్ల వరకు మేమంతా కలిసి ఉన్నాం. నా సతీమణి నిర్మల మా కుటుంబాన్ని ఎంతో చక్కగా చూసుకునేవారు. మేం ఇక్కడ హైదరాబాద్‌కు వచ్చాం. కానీ మా నాన్న గారు మాత్రం చెన్నైలోనే ఉన్నారు. ఇక్కడ సొంతిల్లు ఉంటేనే వస్తాను అని మా నాన్న గారు అన్నారు. అప్పుడు నేను అద్దె ఇంట్లో ఉంటున్నా సరే.. ఆయన కోసం ఓ ఇల్లు కట్టి ఆయన్ను ఇక్కడకు తీసుకు వచ్చాను. అల్లు అర్జున్ ‘ఆర్య’ సక్సెస్ చూసిన తరువాతే మా నాన్న గారు చనిపోయారు. అంటే మనవడి సక్సెస్ చూసిన తరువాత ఆయన చనిపోయారు. నాన్న గారు చనిపోయిన తరువాత కూడా మా తల్లి ఒంటరిగానే ఉంటూ వచ్చారు. మా తల్లి కోసం డాక్టరైన మా చెల్లి వసంత లక్ష్మీ, అక్కని కూడా పక్క ఇంట్లోనే పెట్టాను.

ఆ తరువాత మా అక్క గారు చనిపోయారు. ఒంటరిగా ఉంటే మా అమ్మకు ఇబ్బంది అవుతుందని రోజూ నేను వెళ్తుండేవాడిని. ఆ తరువాత మా చెల్లి వసంత లక్ష్మీ ఇంట్లోకి మా అమ్మను తీసుకు వచ్చాను. మా బంధువు కాకపోయినా.. కూతురి కన్నా ఎక్కువగా ప్రేమించి, దగ్గరుండి చూసుకున్న టేక్ కేర్

లక్ష్మీ రుణం ఎప్పటికీ తీర్చుకోలేను. ఆమెకు ఎంత డబ్బు ఇచ్చినా కూడా రుణం తీరేది కాదు. పక్కింట్లోనే ఉండి డాక్టర్ వెంకటేశ్వరరావు నిరంతరం పర్యవేక్షిస్తుండేవారు. విద్య మాధురి భర్త డా. సాయి ప్రవీణ్ ఎప్పుడూ అందుబాటులో ఉండేవారు. అపోలో యాజమాన్యానికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలియజేస్తున్నాను.

మా అమ్మ ఆరోగ్య విషయంలో నా మిత్రుడు గోపీచంద్ ఎప్పుడూ సలహాలు ఇస్తుండేవాడు. మా అమ్మని ఐసీయూలో పెట్టొద్దు, ఆర్టిఫీషియల్ ఆక్సిజన్ ఇవ్వొద్దు అని.. ఇంటికే ఐసీయూనే పట్టుకొచ్చాం. మా అమ్మని నిరంతరం శివ పార్వతి, క్రాంతి, నిషా అనే నర్స్‌లు జాగ్రత్తగా చూసుకుంటూ ఉండేవారు. ఆమెను ఇంత మంది కలిసి ఎంతో జాగ్రత్తగా చూసుకున్నాం. అందుకే మా అమ్మ వీడ్కోలు ప్రయాణాన్ని ఎంతో సంతోషంగా, సంతృప్తికరంగా జరిపాం. ఆమె ఏ లోకాల్లో ఉన్నా మా అందరినీ మనస్పూర్తిగా దీవిస్తుంటారని నమ్ముతున్నాను.

కళ్యాణ్ బాబు సినిమాల్లోకి రాకముందు.. మా అమ్మ గారు కళ్యాణీ అని పిలుస్తుండేవారు. నువ్వు బాగున్నావ్.. అందంగా ఉన్నావ్.. సినిమాల్లో నటించొచ్చు కదా? అని ఆమె చెబుతుండేవారు. కళ్యాణ్ చక్కగా ఉన్నాడు.. సినిమా తీయొచ్చు కదా? అని నాతో కూడా మా అమ్మ గారు చెబుతుండేవారు. చిరంజీవి గారు ఎంత మెగాస్టార్ అయినా కూడా కుటుంబ సభ్యుల వద్ద ఎలా ఉంటారో అందరికీ తెలిసిందే.

చివరి క్షణాల్లో మా అమ్మ సీరియస్‌గా ఉంటే ఓ సారి చిరంజీవి గారు వచ్చారు. ఆమె సంతోషంతో కళ్లు తెరిచి.. ఏదో చెప్పాలని ప్రయత్నించారు. అంతలా ఆమెకు చిరంజీవి గారంటే ఇష్టం. చిరంజీవి గారికి కూడా మా అమ్మ గారంటే చాలా ఇష్టం. ఒకరినొకరు ఎప్పుడూ ఎంతో ప్రేమగా హత్తుకుంటూ ఉంటారు. ఇలా మా కుటుంబంలో ప్రతీ ఒక్కరితోనూ ఆమెకు ఎంతో అనుబంధం, ప్రేమ ఉంది. అలాంటి గొప్ప తల్లి కడుపున పుట్టడం గొప్ప అదృష్టంగా భావిస్తున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.
