It’s everything that Nandamuri fans expected it to be… and more! On Friday, production house Mythri Movie Makers unveiled the trailer of Nandamuri Kalyanram-starrer Amigos, directed by debutant Rajendra Reddy.
Playing out over two minutes and 15 seconds, the trailer begins with the National Investigative Agency (NIA) hunting for Indian Pablo Escobar Bipin, who is a nightmare to national security. It later cuts to one of three lookalikes who is smitten by the leading lady Ashika Ranganath while Brahmaji sees the fun side of his advances. Soon, the three lookalikes meet in Goa and they break into some fun, play and dance. It doesn’t last longer though as one of them believes that it's imperative they split. The other two shortly discover the real side of the third one who is in fact the devil in the dark and doesn’t spare anyone who comes in his way. What seems to be an extension of the teaser, the trailer promises an adrenaline-pumping and pulsating action ride as it unfolds more, with drama between the lookalikes as bonus. Mythri’s rich production values enhance the trailer’s overall appeal.
Shot predominantly in Hyderabad and Goa, Amigos was wrapped up in 100 working days. Ghibran is the film’s tunesmith. It is set to sail into cinemas next Friday. The fact that Amigos is releasing after Kalyanram’s last, Bimbisara, emerged as a blockbuster means that there are high expectations surrounding it.
