The teaser of Bachhala Malli, top-lined by Allari Naresh, was unveiled by the makers at an event in AAA Cinemas, Hyderabad on Thursday and it triggers a plethora of emotions – love, hatred, anger and survival instinct – with Naresh in fine form.
Close to one-and-a-half-minute in length, it opens with Malli requesting Kaveri (Amritha Aiyer) to speak to her. As she gives an audience, he says he smokes, drinks and occasionally sleeps with sex workers as well, much to her shock. He is later seen stalking her and at one point, she has enough, resulting in her slapping him. Malli seems to have a history with his dad, which the writer-director Subbu Mangadevvi chooses to hide. Soon, Malli gets into a tiff with a constable, facing the wrath of a senior cop (played by Rao Ramesh). His mother (played by Rohini) is later seen telling him that it’s because of his attitude; his life is where it is right now. The teaser is also dotted with some action, which looks raw. It concludes with Malli, saying that he will not change for anyone and he will lead his life as per his terms.
Overall, the teaser gives a glimpse into Naresh’s daring new characterization, which seems to make the film, promising a fresh and exhilarating cinematic experience set in a rural milieu. Subbu drums out some laugh-out loud punches as well that hit home. It looks to be the kind of film that will keep you entertained and engaged with the leading man’s eccentric characterization, scarcely giving the viewer a chance to think of anything else. Naresh as the titular character owns the role, while the production values are rich. The background score by Vishal Chandrasekhar enhances the dramatic impact.
Produced by Razesh Danda, Balaji Gutta under Hasya Movies, Bachhala Malli blazes into cinemas on December 20th.
#BachhalaMalli teaser is raw, showcasing Allari Naresh in a rugged, rustic avatar as a man who marches to his own beat and listens to no one. Allari Naresh’s transformation is remarkable. Are we set for a cinematic treat from him on December 20?https://t.co/rNm8qDBcOv… pic.twitter.com/e2dY2Ck4ix
