With Chatrapathi remake, with which he is set for a Bollywood debut, behind him, actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas is gearing up for his next in Telugu. According to a source, he has agreed to headline Saagar K Chandra’s next. The untitled project will be the director’s next endeavour after the successful Bheemla Nayak.

The source tells us, “Saagar’s project with Sreenivas is an action-entertainer. The latter will be seen as a cop in the film and he was particularly impressed with his character arc, prompting him to give his nod instantaneously. While an official announcement is around the corner, 14 Reels Plus is attached to produce the project.”

The source adds, “With Sreenivas enjoying a great popularity in the North courtesy his Telugu dubbed films, the project is planned as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. The other reason is to consolidate on whatever Hindi market he garners due to Chatrapathi, which opens sometime later this year. As of now the idea is to hit the ground running in May. The team is planning to lock the other cast and crew in the coming next month.”

Sreenivas has earlier played a cop in films like Kavacham and Rakshasudu and this will be his third stint donning the khaki.
