With his last, Karthikeya 2, minting money in Hindi as well, Chandoo Mondeti was flooded with offers from Bollywood, with leading lights from Hindi showing keen interest to collaborate with him, while simultaneously enquiring about his next. It comes as a no surprise that if he makes his next in Hindi given how well he captured the imagination of northern audience with Karthikeya 2, a mystery action adventure with a devotional touch to it. And guess what? He is going Bollywood. According to our trusted sources, we’ve exclusively learnt that his next will be headlined by Kartik Aaryan.

A source close to the development informs us, “Chandoo got the nod of Kartik sometime back with an original screenplay penned by him. It’s a period drama laced with a socio-fantasy touch. It’s mounted on a lavish scale and will be Chandoo’s biggest-budgeted flick until date. As of now, the makers are looking it as a trilingual to be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, while the principal photography will kick off mostly from July. Allu Aravind will be shepherding it under Geetha Arts.l”

Right now, Kartik is looking forward to the release of Shehzada, which is the official remake of Telugu monster hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Allu Aravind, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Aman Gill and S Radhakrishna have jointly produced it. It opens in cinemas on February 17.
