Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated film Coolie is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He continues his winning streak with the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The prestigious project is being produced under the Sun Pictures banner. After the recent blockbuster Kubera, King Nagarjuna is playing a key role in Coolie.
In a major development, prominent distribution company Asian Multiplexes Pvt. Ltd, headed by D. Suresh Babu, Sunil Narang, and Dil Raju, has acquired the Telugu theatrical rights of Coolie for a massive price. This reflects the enormous buzz surrounding the project. With all previous LCU films turning into blockbusters, the rights saw intense competition.
Along with Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna, the film features an ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Mahendran in crucial roles. In the Telugu states, Asian Suresh Entertainment will release the film on a grand scale.
The first look posters and teasers already created massive excitement. The newly released mass number “Chikitu” has taken it a notch higher. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song features his signature energy, with vocals also by Arivu. T. Rajender’s vocal punch adds a unique charm. Rajinikanth’s dance moves and the stunning visuals promise a full feast for fans. Lyrics for the Telugu version were penned by Srinivas Mouli.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran, Coolie boasts a top-tier technical team. Music is by Anirudh, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Philomin Raj. The film is set for a worldwide grand release on August 14, 2025.
Now that the Telugu distribution is locked, promotional activities are expected to ramp up aggressively.

LCU చిత్రాలన్నీ గతంలో బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ విజయాలు సాధించిన నేపథ్యంలో హక్కుల కోసం గట్టి పోటీ ఏర్పడింది.
రజనీకాంత్, నాగార్జునలతో పాటు సత్యరాజ్, సౌబిన్ షాహిర్, ఉపేంద్ర, శ్రుతీ హాసన్, మహేంద్రన్ వంటి ప్రముఖులు కూడా కీలక పాత్రల్లో నటిస్తున్నారు. తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ఈ సినిమాను ఏషియన్ సురేష్ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్స్ గ్రాండ్ గా విడుదల చేయనుంది.
ఇప్పటికే విడుదలైన ఫస్ట్‌లుక్ పోస్టర్లు, టీజర్లు సినిమాపై భారీ క్రేజ్‌ను నెలకొల్పాయి. తాజాగా విడుదలైన మాస్ సాంగ్ ‘చికిటు’ అదరగొట్టింది. ఆనిరుధ్ రవిచంద్రన్ సంగీతం అందించిన ఈ పాటలో ఆయన స్వరాలతో పాటు అరివు కూడా పాటను హై ఎనర్జీగా పాడారు. పాటలో టి. రాజేందర్ సౌండ్ ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలుస్తోంది. సూపర్‌స్టార్ రజనీకాంత్ డాన్స్‌, విజువల్స్ ఫ్యాన్స్‌కు ఫుల్ ఫీస్ట్‌లా ఉన్నాయి. ఈ పాటకు శ్రీనివాస మౌళి సాహిత్యం అందించారు.
