Tunesmith Devi Sri Prasad, who won the National Award for Best Music Director (songs) for Pushpa: The Rise, took to YouTube night on Monday to share his thoughts on the coveted honour, while extending his congratulations to other winners.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank my mother Siromani garu, my father Shri Satyamurthy garu and my guru Shri Mandolin Srinivas anna because of whom I am where I am today. I would also like to extend my thanks to all the producers, directors and actors –they’ve always been trusting me and loving me for my work,” he began.
Heaping high praise on director Sukumar with whom he has been collaborating since Arya, the composer added, “Thank you Suku bhai. Thank you so much for writing this amazing script called Pushpa and making it brilliantly. I also thank you for pushing us beyond our boundaries and making us do something amazing and excellent. He always thinks differently and writes his scripts in a different way so that we are also tempted to push our boundaries to do something different and unimaginable. Thank you and love you Suku bhai. All the credit goes to you undoubtedly.”
Thanking Allu Arjun for always trusting him with all his films, Devi stated, “We kind of started our journey together. Thank you Bunny boy. And congrats to you for winning the prestigious Best Actor National award for Pushpa. Love you.”
Lauding Chandrabose, the lyricist of Pushpa, Devi said, “Thanks to our dear lyricist Chandrabose who wrote brilliant lyrics, making the album sound very different. And also congratulations on winning the Best Lyricist award for Kondapolam. “
Speaking about production Mythri Movie Makers, Devi said, “What can I say about them? Thank you Naveen sir, Ravi sir and Cherry sir. We are so like family. Thank you for trusting me. And thanks to Rashmika who did a brilliant job in the film. Thanks to all the choreographers, especially Sekhar master who choreographed the viral Saamp step. I also like to thank my entire team who stood by me. All my singers, my musicians and all my lyricists of all the languages who worked so hard for Pushpa album. A huge thanks to Aditya Music and T-Series Bhushan Kumar sir.”
Lastly, extending his congratulations to other winners, he concluded, “I would like to congratulate all the winners of 69th National Film Awards, the entire team of RRR, Uppena for winning the Best Telugu film. I’m so glad that I’m the music director for that film as well. So congrats Buchi gari.”
