As part of Ghaati promotions, Anushka Shetty gave a phone interview to the media. When asked why someone who works so hard for her films chooses not to participate in promotions, she replied that it’s her personal choice—not just film promotions, but she doesn’t attend award functions or even family functions either. She prefers to focus on upcoming projects whenever she finds the time.
To a question about whether she performed in many action scenes in Ghaati, she said with a smile, “That’s why I told Krish — instead of Hitman, I’m turning into Hitwoman!” When Jeevi commented, “Phone interviews seem to be working well for you—you’re scoring hit after hit,” Anushka laughed and responded, “Are you pulling my leg, Jeevi garu? If what you said comes true, I’d be very happy!”
Responding to Jeevi’s question about how her journey from Super to Ghaati feels, Anushka recalled:
“I still remember the interview you did with me during Super. That day, I was so unsure, but you explained everything to me about cinema in a way I could understand. I’ll never forget that.”
She added that she never imagined such roles would come her way. Krish had talked about doing Vedam 2 during the shoot of Vedam itself. Whether it was Saroja in Vedam or Sheelavathi in Ghaati, it’s all because of Krish, she said. She expressed hope that, just like Saroja, the character of Sheelavathi would also connect deeply with audiences.
When Jeevi asked, “Can we expect a crossover in the future between Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Sheelavathi from Ghaati?” Anushka replied that the idea itself was amazing. She said combining superhero characters in a franchise-like format is a brilliant concept, and added playfully that Jeevi should be the one to pitch that idea to director Sukumar.
Asked how she’s seen Krish evolve from Vedam to Ghaati, she replied, “It’s hard to judge personal growth in people.” When questioned about her off-screen and on-screen visibility being low, she said she’s not detached from the industry. She keeps herself updated with everything that’s happening, even if she’s not very visible.
She called landing a film like Baahubali a big stroke of luck. Even though she hasn’t done many films after that, she is choosing roles that resonate with her heart. To a question about fans eagerly waiting to see her share screen space with Prabhas again, she said that she too hopes it happens—“If a good story comes along, I’d love to work with him again.”
From the beginning, she’s always preferred staying out of the spotlight and focuses on doing full justice to any role she takes on. She also shared that she has completed shooting for a Malayalam film, which is expected to release later this year.

" 'సూపర్' నుండి 'ఘాటీ' వరకూ మీ ప్రయాణం ఎలా అనిపించింది అన్న జీవీ మరో ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా... " 'సూపర్' సినిమాకు మీరు చేసిన ఇంటర్వ్యూనే గుర్తొస్తుంది. ఆరోజు నేను తడబడుతుంటే మీరు నాకు అన్నీ అర్థమయ్యేలా సినిమాల గురించి చెప్పడం నాకిప్పటికీ గుర్తే" అన్నారు అనుష్క. ఇలాంటి పాత్రలు తనకొస్తాయని ఎప్పుడూ అనుకోలేదన్నారు. వేదం చేస్తున్నప్పుడే 'వేదం 2' చేద్దామని క్రిష్ చెప్పారన్నారు. 'వేదం'లో సరోజ పాత్ర అయినా, 'ఘాటీ'లో శీలావతి పాత్ర అయినా ఇదంతా క్రిష్ వల్లనే సాధ్యమయిందన్నారు. 'వేదం' లో సరోజ పాత్ర లాగే 'ఘాటీ' శీలావతి పాత్ర కూడా అంతే ప్రేక్షకులకు చేరువవుతుందన్న ఆశాభావాన్ని వ్యక్తం చేశారు అనుష్క.
"భవిష్యత్తులో తెలుగు తెరపై అల్లు అర్జున్ 'పుష్ప' మరియు 'ఘాటీ' శీలావతి క్యారెక్టర్ల క్రాస్ ఓవర్ చూడొచ్చా" అన్న జీవి ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానమిస్తూ ఆ ఆలోచనే చాలా అద్భుతమన్నారు . తెరపై అలా ఫ్రాంచైజీల్లో సూపర్ హీరోల పాత్రలను కలిపే ఆలోచన చాలా బాగుందన్నారు. ఆ అమేజింగ్ ఐడియాను ఐడిల్ బ్రెయిన్ జీవినే దర్శకుడు సుకుమార్ కు చెప్పాలన్నారు. "వేదం నుండి ఘాటీ వరకూ దర్శకుడు క్రిష్ లో ఎలాంటి మార్పును గమనించారు" మరో ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా అలా వ్యక్తుల్లో వచ్చిన ఎదుగుదలను జడ్జ్ చేయలేనన్నారు. "ఆఫ్ స్క్రీన్ మరియు ఆన్ స్క్రీన్ కూడా కనిపించడం తగ్గించేశారు, ఇండస్ట్రీకు ఎంతవరకు కనెక్ట్ అయి ఉన్నారు" అన్న మరో ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా... ఇండస్ట్రీ కు దూరంగా ఉండటం అంటూ లేదని, ఎప్పటికప్పుడు జరుగుతున్న ప్రతి విషయం తనకు తెలుస్తూనే ఉంటుందన్నారు. 'బాహుబలి' లాంటి సినిమా లభించడం చాలా అదృష్టమని, ఆ సినిమా తరువాత ఎక్కువ సినిమాలు చేయకపోయినా, మనసుకు నచ్చిన పాత్రలనే చేస్తున్నానన్నారు. ప్రభాస్ తో కలిసి చేసే సినిమా కోసం అభిమానులు ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారన్న మరో ప్రశ్నకు బదులిస్తూ ఓ మంచి కథ వస్తే తప్పకుండా చేయాలన్న ఆశ తనకు కూడా ఉందన్నారు. మొదటి నుండీ తనకు ఎక్కువగా బయట కనిపించడం ఇష్టముందన్నారు. ఏ పాత్ర అయినా ఆ పాత్రకు వంద శాతం న్యాయం చేయడానికే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తానన్నారు. మలయాళంలో తను చేసిన సినిమా షూటింగ్ పూర్తి అయిపోయిందని, ఈ ఏడాది చివర్లో విడుదల అయ్యే అవకాశాలున్నాయన్నారు.
