Director Harish Shankar has issued an apology to fans of Mahesh Babu after a reply he posted on social media sparked criticism online. The director clarified that the response was made unintentionally while he was under heavy work pressure and that he had no intention of hurting the sentiments of Mahesh’s fans.
Harish Shankar is currently busy with the post-production work of his upcoming film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” starring Pawan Kalyan, which is scheduled to release on March 19. Explaining the situation in a letter, the director said that he has been occupied with several tasks including censor formalities, meetings with board officials, post-production work, visiting the Peddamma Thalli temple, and final checks for the film’s song promotions.
“In the middle of this hectic schedule, I was replying to fans on social media who were appreciating the promo of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. In that rush, I accidentally quoted a tweet without reading it completely. My team immediately alerted me about it and I deleted the reply within a minute after realizing the mistake,” he said.
Harish Shankar also emphasized that he has immense respect for Superstar Mahesh Babu. He expressed confidence that Mahesh’s upcoming film “Varanasi” would create many new records and said that his earlier posts about the film “Pokiri” reflect the admiration he has for the actor.

The director added that if anyone was hurt because of the unintended mistake, he sincerely apologizes and requested everyone to understand the situation with a big heart and support “Ustaad Bhagat Singh.”
