With Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi building momentum ahead of its August 21 theatrical release, the film is turning into one of the most eagerly awaited releases. Helmed by Shiva Nirvana and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, this distinctive family entertainer has already generated considerable buzz through its intriguing glimpse and soulful as well as energetic songs. The theatrical trailer has taken the excitement several notches higher.
The devotional spirit surrounding Irumudi gets a vibrant new dimension with the release of the most-awaited Mallepoola Pallaki song. Launched at the film’s grand pre-release event, the track transforms a much-loved Ayyappa devotional number into an energetic celebration. Known for its strong connect with Ayyappa devotees, the original Mallepoola Pallaki carries immense devotional significance. For Irumudi, music director GV Prakash Kumar gives the familiar number a fresh musical identity, preserving its spiritual essence while adding a grand orchestral scale and thumping rhythmic appeal.
The song immediately grabs attention with its pulsating beats and powerful percussion. The energetic arrangement keeps the momentum high throughout, creating an atmosphere that blends traditional devotion with the larger-than-life flavour expected from a Ravi Teja-starrer. Adding further authenticity is Dappu Srinu, whose distinctive voice once again brings the raw devotional character of the original to the recreated version.
Sporting the look and presence of an Ayyappa devotee, Ravi Teja throws himself completely into the performance, matching every beat with infectious enthusiasm. His energetic dance moves and effortless screen presence give the number an unmistakable mass appeal. Sekhar Master’s choreography further elevates the presentation, bringing together groups of devotees, synchronized movements and vibrant staging.
The combination of GV Prakash Kumar’s energetic arrangement, Dappu Srinu’s powerful vocals, Ravi Teja’s spirited performance, and Sekhar Master’s choreography promises goosebumps galore. The impact is likely to be even bigger in theatres, particularly when the booming percussion and visuals come together during the film’s devotional sequences.
Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead, while Baby Nakshatra will be seen in an important role in the film, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar.
The technical team includes cinematographer Vishnu Sarma, production designer Sahi Suresh, and editor Prawin Pudi, while GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
The hype surrounding the movie has only heightened following the instant blockbuster response to the Mallepoola Pallaki song.
