Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s highly anticipated Irumudi is gearing up for its theatrical release on August 21. The film has completed its censor formalities and secured a U/A certificate, while its runtime has been locked at a crisp 2 hours and 25 minutes. The runtime comes as a positive sign for a film that blends family emotions, suspense, action and rural drama, indicating that director Shiva Nirvana has maintained a focused narrative without unwanted elements.
At the centre of the story is Ravi Teja’s emotional relationship with his daughter, played by Baby Nakshatra. Their bond forms the emotional backbone of the film, even as the narrative gradually shifts into a gripping and suspenseful zone. Irumudi presents Ravi Teja in a distinctly different avatar. He plays a typical middle-class family man who takes immense care of his loved ones, but struggles with alcohol addiction.
