Dynamic Star Vishnu Manchu’s dream project ‘Kannappa’ produced by M. Mohan Babu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh is set for a grand worldwide release on June 27th. The teaser, songs, and posters released so far have increased expectations around the movie. On Saturday, the trailer was launched at a spectacular event held in Kochi.

While speaking at the event, Mohanlal stated, “Right now, pan-India movies are trending. Films are being made without language barriers. ‘Kannappa’ has turned out really well, and I’m happy to be part of it. Actors, and technicians from different languages worked together on this movie.

I thank Mohan Babu and Vishnu for giving me such a powerful role. Kannappa was a great devotee of Lord Shiva, and this story was made beautifully. We shot it amazingly in New Zealand. Mohan Babu’s family is like my own. I pray that Lord Shiva blesses this ‘Kannappa’ movie. It’s releasing on June 27. I hope it becomes a big success.”

Dr Mohan Babu said, “Mohanlal is like a brother to me. Long ago, I remade his Malayalam film ‘Chitram’ into Telugu as ‘Alludu Garu’, and that helped me rise again as a star. Since then, we’ve been close. Mohanlal hasn’t changed one bit over the years, physically or mentally. He’s a simple man with a pure heart. He’s a great actor, and despite his status, he only brings one makeup man with him. He arrives on set before everyone else.

For this film, Mohanlal didn’t take a single rupee. I’m forever thankful for the love he showed. I’m happy that Vishnu got to act with him. I never had that chance, and I’m still asking for it. Our ‘Kannappa’ film is coming on June 27. I request Mohanlal’s fans to make this film collect more than his previous hit, ‘Thudarum’.”

Vishnu Manchu said, “There’s nothing more I need to say about ‘Kannappa’. You’ve already seen the visuals. This film happened with Lord Shiva’s blessings. It’s releasing on June 27. I’m a big fan of Mohanlal. He’s like a father figure to me and part of our family. His influence crosses generations. If you watch the trailer, you’ll understand the power of his character. I can’t reveal the surprise just yet. Sharing the screen with Mohanlal is a blessing from my past life. He is so humble.

Director Mukesh Kumar Singh stated: “This land was walked by great saints like Parashurama and Adi Shankaracharya, who was a true devotee of Lord Shiva. Many people make movies with love and passion, but we made this film as a prayer to Shiva. Just as Krishna is called ‘Mohana’, I had the opportunity to work with two ‘Mohan’s in this film—Mohan Babu garu and Mohanlal garu, both outstanding actors.

I’ve learned so much from Mohan Babu garu about acting, passion, dedication, and his deep knowledge of cinema. Mohanlal’s acting speaks for itself. After seeing him off-screen, I want to be like him. Vishnu worked very hard for this movie. Today, the Ayyappa temple is being opened, and we released our trailer on this auspicious day. I hope Ayyappa Swamy’s blessings are with us.”

Actor Arpit Ranka said: “It was my luck to get a chance in a movie like ‘Kannappa’. With Lord Shiva’s blessings, we made it happen. I’m happy to have worked with Vishnu, Mohan Babu, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Prabhas. I recently watched Mohanlal’s ‘Thudarum’ and loved it. Please watch our film releasing on June 27.”

ముఖేష్ కుమార్ సింగ్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘పరుశురాముడు, ఆది శంకరాచార్యులు నడయాడిన నేల ఇది. ఆది శంకరాచార్యులు శివుడికి గొప్ప భక్తుడు. కన్నప్ప కూడా గొప్ప శివ భక్తుడు. సినిమాను అందరూ ప్రేమతో, ఇష్టంతో తీస్తారు. మేం మాత్రం ఈ మూవీని శివుడికి ఓ ప్రార్థనలా తీశాం. శివతత్త్వాన్ని చాటేలా ఈ మూవీని తీశాం. మోహనుడు అని కృష్ణుడ్ని అంటాం. అలా నేను ఈ మూవీలో ఇద్దరు మోహన్‌లతో పని చేశాను. మోహన్ బాబు గారు, మోహన్‌లాల్ గారు అద్భుతమైన నటులు. నటనపై ప్యాషన్, డెడికేషన్, సినిమా పట్ల ఉన్న నాలెడ్జ్ గురించి మోహన్ బాబు గారి నుంచి ఎంతో నేర్చుకున్నాను. లాల్ గారి నటన గురించి నేను ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పాల్సిన పని లేదు. ఆఫ్ స్క్రీన్‌లో లాల్ గారిని చూసిన తరువాత నేను కూడా ఆయనలానే ఉండాలని అనుకుంటున్నాను. విష్ణు ఈ మూవీ కోసం ఎంతో కష్టపడ్డారు. అయ్యప్వ స్వామి గుడిని ఈ రోజు తెరుస్తున్నారు. ఈ రోజు మా ట్రైలర్‌ను రిలీజ్ చేయడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. ఆ అయ్యప్ప స్వామి ఆశీస్సులు కూడా మా సినిమాపై ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

అర్పిత్ రంకా మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘కన్నప్ప’ లాంటి చిత్రంలో అవకాశం రావడం అదృష్టం. ఆ శివుడి ఆశీస్సులతోనే ఈ మూవీని చేయగలిగాం. విష్ణు గారు, మోహన్ బాబు గారు, అక్షయ్ కుమార్ గారు, మోహన్‌లాల్ గారు, ప్రభాస్ గారు వంటి వారితో పని చేయడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. రీసెంట్‌గా నేను మోహన్‌లాల్ గారి తుడరం సినిమా చూశాను. అద్భుతంగా అనిపించింది. కన్నప్ప లాంటి చిత్రంలో నటించడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. మా సినిమాను జూన్ 27న అందరూ చూడండి’ అని అన్నారు.
