In terms of sheer impact, the second trailer of Karthikeya 2, released yesterday, packs a punch like the first one which was released some time ago. Beginning with a sweeping aerial shot of Lord Sri Krishna’s kingdom Dwaraka, the trailer sees Karthikeya (played by Nikhil) curious to explore the truth of Sri Krishna after finding out some unexplained things happening in Dwaraka, leading him to travel multiple places including beautiful snow-capped mountains and historical temples and fight baddies in the process. Karthik Ghattamaneni’s stunning camera work is visible all through the trailer, while the background score only adds to the mysterious nature of the plot. Elements of nature like sea, forest and waterfalls in a cave make the overall experience better.
As it unfolds shot by shot, the trailer also introduces Adithya Menon as a menacing villain and Anupam Kher, in his Telugu debut, as someone who guides and motivates Karthikeya in his quest. As it reaches a finale, Chandoo Mondeti once again reminds viewers that Karthikeya is a doctor, who rises to the occasion when it comes to peoples’ lives.
Featuring Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Reddy, Harsha Chemudu, Praveen, Satya and Tulasi in other roles, Karthikeya 2, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, bows later this Saturday. A joint production venture between People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Kaala Bhairava has composed the film’s soundtrack and background score.
Hindu mythology and Indian mystic added to Indiana Jones kind of adventure. Theatrical trailer of #Karthikeya2 is surely impressive. Looking forward to watch it on the next Saturday! 👍 pic.twitter.com/ttg4k7jrea
