Bellamkonda Sreenivas is a young actor who has been striving for the past ten years to win over audiences with diverse roles on screen. As part of promotions for his upcoming film Kishkindhapuri, he gave an interview to Idlebrain Jeevi. Bellamkonda remarked that whether you have a background or not, only those who dive into the ocean of cinema truly understand its depths - and only those who reach the shore can be called successful.

Responding to criticisms about his limited involvement in the promotions of Kishkindhapuri, Bellamkonda clarified that his phone number is with everyone and he’s always just a call away. He added that it’s during such baseless rumors that he feels - “there’s no one in the industry you can truly count on.” Sometimes, it makes him wonder if he could’ve earned more with less effort in another profession. He said that no matter how many years of experience or how many connections one has in the industry, it ultimately doesn’t help much.

While the intention is to make films that appeal to everyone, success is not something that’s entirely in one’s control, he said. Although he may not have made great films in his career, he proudly added, “I’ve never made a bad one.”

Speaking about Kishkindhapuri, he shared: “We shot the entire film without placing a single static camera. The cinematographer carried the camera on his shoulder throughout. We managed to create fear in this film using just a radio. Even during shoot, whenever I spoke to Anupama, it would feel like I was talking to a ghost. We filmed the movie in an actual haunted house.”

Unlike earlier where films dealt with supernatural elements like the Pancha Bhoothas (five elements), this time they focused on more grounded and practical themes, he noted.

Bellamkonda further said that though Bhairava gave him great satisfaction as an actor, he wished it had done better at the box office. Even now, many people keep asking him when Rakshasudu 2 will release, and he jokingly remarked, “That’s when I realize just how many psychos are out there!”

Talking about his upcoming project Tyson Naidu, he said it’s a unique film that falls somewhere between Appatlo Okadundevadu and Bheemla Nayak.

He also reflected on how Chiranjeevi’s films are a great learning on how to make art-house films commercially viable, citing Swayamkrushi as a prime example.

Finally, he mentioned how much he liked Sankranthiki Vasthunnam film that was centered on the theme of respecting one’s teachers. After watching it, he called the two gurus in his life and cast them in his film as a tribute.

బెల్లంకొండ శ్రీనివాస్, పదేళ్లుగా తెరపై కొత్త కొత్త పాత్రలు చేస్తూ ప్రేక్షకుల మన్ననలను పొందడం కోసం కృషి చేస్తున్న యువ హీరో. మరి కొద్ది రోజుల్లో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రాబోయే 'కిష్కింధపురి' ప్రమోషన్లో భాగంగా 'ఐడిల్ బ్రెయిన్' జీవీకి ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఇచ్చారు బెల్లంకొండ శ్రీనివాస్. బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ ఉన్నా లేకపోయినా సినిమా అనే సముద్రంలో ఈదినోడికే ఆ లోతేంటో తెలుస్తుందని, ఒడ్డుకి చేరినోడే గొప్పంటారు బెల్లంకొండ.

'కిష్కింధపురి' ప్రమోషన్లలో పాల్గోవడం లేదన్న విమర్శలను ఖండించారు బెల్లంకొండ శ్రీనివాస్. తన ఫోన్ నంబర్ అందరి దగ్గరా ఉంటుందన్న, అందరికీ ఒక్క ఫోన్ కాల్ దూరంలోనే ఉంటానన్నారు. అలాంటి నిరాధార వార్తలు వచ్చినప్పుడే "సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీలో మన అనుకున్న వాళ్లుండరు" అని అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుందన్నారు. ఇంతే కష్టం వేరే వృత్తిలో ఇంకా సంపాదించుకోవచ్చని అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుందన్నారు. ఇండస్ట్రీలో ఎన్నేళ్ల అనుభవం ఉన్నా, ఎన్ని పరిచయాలున్నా ఏమీ ఉపయోగముండదన్నారు. జనాలకు అందరికీ నచ్చేలా సినిమాలు తీయాలని ఉన్నా, అందులో ఎంతవరకు విజయాలు సాధించగలమా అన్న విషయం ఎవరి చేతుల్లోనూ ఉండదన్నారు బెల్లంకొండ శ్రీనివాస్. తన సినిమా కెరీర్లో గొప్ప సినిమాలు తీయలేకపోయినా, చెత్త సినిమాలు మాత్రం తీయలేదన్నారాయన.

'కిష్కింధపురి' గురించి చెప్తూ... "ఈ సినిమా మొత్తాన్నీ స్టడీ కెమెరా పెట్టకుండానే తీశాం. సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ తన భుజాలపై కెమెరాను మోసుకుంటూనే సినిమా అంతా షూట్ చేశారు. ఒక రేడియోతోనే ఈ సినిమాలో భయపెట్టగలం. షూట్ టైమ్ లో అనుపమతో మాట్లాడినా ఒక ఘోస్ట్ తో మాట్లాడినట్టే ఉండేది. ఓ రియల్ హాంటెడ్ హౌస్ లోనే ఈ సినిమాను చిత్రీకరించాం" అన్నారు. గతంలోలా పంచభూతాలు లాంటి పెద్ద పెద్ద అంశాలను తీసుకోకుండా, ఈసారి కొంచెం జాగ్రత్తగా, ప్రాక్టికల్ గా జరిగే అంశాలనే తీసుకొని సినిమా చేశానన్నారు.

బెల్లంకొండ శ్రీనివాస్ ఇంకా మాట్లాడుతూ.. 'భైరవం' సినిమా ఒక నటుడిగా తనకు సంతృప్తినా ఇచ్చినా, బాక్సాఫీస్ దగ్గర ఇంకా హిట్టయితే బాగుండేదన్నారు. ఇప్పటికీ చాలామంది 'రాక్షసుడు2' ఎప్పుడొస్తుందని తనను అడుగుతూ ఉంటారని, అల్లాంటప్పుడే "ఇంతమంది సైకోలున్నారేంట్రా బాబూ" అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుందన్నారు. 'టైసన్ నాయుడు' గా ఓ విభిన్న కథతో వస్తున్నామన్న బెల్లంకొండ, ఆ సినిమా 'అప్పట్లో ఒకడుండేవాడు' మరియు 'భీమ్లా నాయక్' సినిమాలకు మధ్యలో ఉంటుందన్నారు. ఆర్ట్ సినిమాలను కూడా కమర్షియల్ గా ఎలా తీయాలో చిరంజీవి సినిమాలను చూసి నేర్చుకోవచ్చని, దానికి ఉదాహరణంగా 'స్వయంకృషి' సినిమాను తీసుకోవచ్చన్నారు. గురువులకు ఎలా గౌరవం ఇవ్వాలో అన్న కాన్సెప్ట్ తో తీసిన 'సంక్రాంతికి వస్తున్నాం' సినిమా తనకు చాలా బాగా నచ్చిందని, ఆ సినిమా చూసే తన ఇద్దరు గురువులకు కాల్ చేసి తన సినిమాలో పెట్టుకున్నానన్నారు.
