Director Aditya Hasan, who captivated audiences with #90's, has now turned producer with Little Hearts, directed by Sai Marthand. Social media sensation Mouli plays the male lead, while Shivani from Ambajipeta Marriage Band fame plays the female lead. Music is composed by Sinjith. The film is set to release on September 5, and will be presented by renowned producers Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati. As part of promotions, the team of Little Hearts gave an interview to Idlebrain’s Jeevi, where the lead pair, director, and producer shared their journey—marked by laughter and struggle, as all four are young talents starting out in the film industry.
Producer Aditya Hasan shared that he changed his name out of admiration for Kamal Haasan. He had previously directed a film titled Teacher starring Colors Swathi, which never released due to unforeseen reasons. That experience left him in limbo for a year, and in the effort to do something different, #90's was born. He revealed that he was a big fan of Mouli’s Instagram reels and had written the role specifically with Mouli in mind.
When asked by Jeevi about how life changed after the success of #90’s, he said: “Before that show, I used to hesitate even to fill up ₹1,000 fuel. After the success, I can confidently go for a full tank. That’s the biggest change in my life.” He said he feels proud when he pays for petrol using his card now. Aditya also revealed he is now directing a film with Anand Deverakonda under Sithara Entertainments.
Hero Mouli shared, “I’ve loved content creation since childhood. I started making short films back in 8th grade with school friends. I handled everything—direction, editing, and even acting, since I had no actors available.”
Later, he joined many meme pages as an editor and made over a thousand memes during his two years of intermediate studies. One of his jokes during the elections went viral and got him into some trouble, after which he became more careful.
Though he received many film offers after #90's, he turned them down because he didn’t like the roles. Just when he was waiting for the right story, director Sai Marthand approached him with Little Hearts. Mouli added that the success of #90’s helped him clear all debts at home.
Heroine Shivani said: “After Ambajipeta Marriage Band, I intentionally took a break. I was getting similar roles, and I wasn’t sure if audiences would still be interested in watching me. I waited for something different.”
She always wanted to act in a rom-com and has a deep love for comedy. Shivani also revealed her passion for music—calling it a central part of her life—and vowed never to give it up. She even sang a song in the film Aarambham. After Little Hearts, she is working on another film with actor Suhas.
Director Sai Marthand shared: “I worked for two years in Tech Mahindra before switching to films. I made two short films, and with newfound confidence, I quit my job. For a year, I waited for an opportunity, emailing sample scripts to production houses who weren’t even allowing me in the door.”
A week after he wrote Little Hearts, the project got greenlit. The film was shot in just 32 days.
He added a humorous note: “Like in the film Court, girls in intermediate are easily caught by their parents at home. In Little Hearts, the lead pair don’t even touch each other until the climax.”
Due to his lack of confidence in getting investors, he initially planned to make Little Hearts as a short film.
“This story is about two people who are not well-educated,” said Sai Marthand.
“Little Hearts is the story of two uneducated young hearts.”

"90's" హిట్ తరువాత మీ జీవితంలో వచ్చిన మార్పులు ఏంటన్న జీవి ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా... "నాకు కంటెంట్ క్రియేట్ చేయడమంటే చిన్నప్పటి నుండీ ఇష్టం. నేను ఎనిమిదో తరగతి చదువుతున్నప్పుడే షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్ తీయడం మొదలుపెట్టాను. అలా స్కూల్లో స్నేహితులతోనే షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్ చేస్తూ యూట్యూబ్ వీడియోలు చేసాను. వాటికి నేనే ఎడిటింగ్, దర్శకత్వం కూడా చేసేవాడిని. యాక్టర్స్ కోసం చూడకుండా అన్నింటిలో నేనే నటించేసేవాడిని. అలా ఇంటర్ కు వచ్చిన తరువాత చాలా మీమ్స్ పేజీల్లో ఎడిటర్ గా చేరాను" అన్నారు. ఇంటర్ చదివిన ఆ రెండేళ్ల కాలంలోనే దాదాపు వెయ్యికి పైగా మీమ్స్ చేశానన్నారు. అనుకోకుండా ఓ సారి ఎన్నికల సమయంలో ఒక జోక్ బాగా వైరల్ అయిపోవడంతో కాస్త ఇబ్బందులు పడ్డానని, అప్పటి నుండి జాగ్రత్త పడిపోయానన్నారు. #90's' తరువాత చాలా సినిమాల్లో అవకాశాలు వచ్చినా అందులో పాత్రలు నచ్చకపోవడంతో ఇన్నాళ్ళూ ఆగానన్నారు. అలా ఎదురుచూస్తున్న క్రమంలో దర్శకుడు సాయి మార్తాండ్ ఈ 'లిటిల్ హార్ట్స్' కథతో వచ్చాడన్నారు. 'అంబాజీపేట మ్యారేజి బ్యాండు' సినిమా తరువాత కావాలనే గ్యాప్ తీసుకున్నాను. ఆ సినిమాలో చేసిన పాత్ర లాంటివే మళ్లీ రావడంతో ప్రేక్షకులు మళ్లీ చూస్తారా లేదా సందేహంతో విభిన్న పాత్ర కోసం ఎదురుచూసాను. ఒక RomCom లో నటించాలన్న ఆసక్తి నాకు మొదటి నుండీ ఉంది. నాకు కామెడీ అంటే చాలా ఇష్టం" అన్నారు. తనకు పాడటం అంటే ఇష్టమని, సంగీతం తన జీవితంలో చాలా ప్రధానమని, సంగీతాన్ని ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ వదులుకోనన్నారు శివాని. 'ఆరంభం' సినిమాలో ఒక పాట కూడా పాడానన్నారు శివాని. 'లిటిల్ హార్ట్స్' సినిమా తరువాత సుహాస్ తో మరో సినిమాలో నటించబోతున్నట్టు కూడా తెలిపారామె.
దర్శకుడు సాయి మార్తాండ్ మాట్లాడుతూ... "నేను రెండేళ్లు టెక్ మహేంద్ర లో జాబ్ చేసాను. తరువాత రెండు షార్ట్ ఫిల్ములు చేసాను. సినిమాలు చేయగలనన్న నమ్మకం వచ్చి జాబ్ వదిలేసాను. అలా ఓ ఏడాది ఎదురుచూసాను. ప్రొడక్షన్ హౌస్ వాళ్లు రానీయరని తెలిసే అందరికీ మెయిల్స్ లో శాంపిల్ స్క్రిప్టులు పనిపించేవాడిని. లిటిల్ హార్ట్స్ స్టోరీ రాసిన వారం రోజులకే సినిమా ఓకే అయిపోయింది" అన్నారు. 'లిటిల్ హార్ట్స్' సినిమాను 32 రోజుల్లో తీసేశామన్నారు. 'కోర్ట్' సినిమాలో చూపించినట్టు ఇంటర్లో అమ్మాయిలు ఇంట్లో వేగంగా దొరికిపోతారన్నారు.
