Alia Bhatt is currently basking on the success of her latest blockbuster film Gangubai Kathiawadi which is garnering huge collections at the box office. She is awaiting the release of her next film RRR directed by Rajamouli, in which she is playing the leading lady for Ram Charan Tej. This film marks her acting debut in the Telugu film industry and this project is already helping Alia get showered with back to back offers in Telugu.

As per the latest report, Alia is in talks with SS Rajamouli for his upcoming jungle adventure featuring Mahesh Babu in lead. “SS Rajamouli and his father Vijayendra Prasad for a few months now, have been working on the screenplay of their next collaboration with Mahesh in the lead. They have developed several characters through this period, feel that Alia fits the bill to play the female lead. The duo also believes that the young actress will make a solid pairing with Mahesh,” a source said.

Talks for the film are on and they have eyed on casting coup to give the film a pan India appeal. The film is expected to go on floors mid next year so that both Alia and Mahesh complete their ongoing commitments and keep themselves free. An official confirmation on the same is awaited from the makers though Mahesh Babu announced that his next project is with Rajamouli.

Mahesh is awaiting the release of his next film Sarkaru Vari Pata which will release in the month of April. It is directed by Parasuram and has Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.
