Nagarjuna, who began shooting for Naa Saami Ranga on September 20 last year commemorating his father ANR’s birth anniversary, managed to wrap up the shoot of the rural entertainer without any hassles and released the film for Sankranthi, thanks to terrific planning and coordination from director Vijay Binni and team. The film turned out to be a major hit at the box office this year.

Meanwhile, at the film’s success meet today, Nagarjuna gave another surprise to audiences during his speech. He ended his speech with the lines ‘See you next Sankranthi,’ possibly hinting at the release of his next film. While he’s in talks for various projects, Nagarjuna has only okayed one film, the political thriller with Sekhar Kammula, which also stars Dhanush, Rashmika.

The untitled multistarrer, produced by Sri Venkateswara Cinemas (of the Asian Cinemas group), kickstarted this month in Hyderabad. While the makers of the biggie haven’t announced a release date yet, Nagarjuna’s hint suggests that the team is targeting Sankranthi 2025 for a release. The film underwent extensive pre-production for several months.

Already two films have confirmed their berth for Sankranthi 2025 officially - Chiranjeevi’s socio-fantasy Vishwambhara and the sequel to Shatamanam Bhavati. While Sankranthi is a perfect time to release Sekhar Kammula’s multistarrer, it remains to be seen if he’ll wrap it up by the end of the year, especially with the work commitments of Dhanush and Rashmika.
