Director Sujeeth shared with Idlebrain Jeevi the reasons behind shooting some scenes in OG in Tamil and Japanese languages.

He revealed that in the original concept, the hero's journey was supposed to begin from Rameswaram. His initial idea was to show a search for the protagonist stretching from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and when they decided to set certain scenes in Madurai, they chose to film them in Tamil to retain authenticity.

Although some people opposed the idea of using regional languages, Pawan Kalyan stood by Sujeeth’s vision and encouraged him to shoot those scenes in Tamil.

As for the Japan-based portions, Sujeeth said that since they had cast prominent Japanese actors like Kitamura and Byron Bishop, it wouldn’t feel right to shoot those scenes in Telugu. Hence, to maintain realism and cultural integrity, they were filmed entirely in Japanese.

'OG' లో తమిళం మరియు జపనీస్ భాషల్లోనే కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలను చిత్రీకరించడానికి కారణాలను 'ఐడిల్ బ్రెయిన్' జీవీకి వివరించారు దర్శకుడు సుజీత్. 'OG' కథలో హీరో పాత్రను మొదట రామేశ్వరం నుండే ఆరంభించాలనుకున్నామన్నారు. హీరోను వెతికే క్రమంలో కాశ్మీర్ నుండి కన్యాకుమారి వరకూ వెతికేలా తీయాలన్నదే తన మొదటి ఆలోచన అన్నారు. అలా అనుకున్న సమయంలో మధురైలో చూపించాలన్న ఆలోచన కలగడంతో అక్కడి సన్నివేశాల్లో సహజత్వం కోసం తమిళంలోనే చిత్రీకరణ చేశామన్నారు. చర్చల్లో కొందరు తన ఆలోచనను వ్యతిరేకించినా పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ మాత్రం తనను సమర్థించి తమిళ భాషలోనే తీయమని తనకు చెప్పారన్నారు. జపాన్ నేపథ్యంలో నడిచే కథలో, జపాన్ నుండి కిటామురా మరియు బైరాన్ బిషప్ లాంటి ప్రముఖ నటులను సినిమా కోసం తీసుకొని కూడా ఆ సన్నివేశాలను తెలుగులో తీస్తే బాగుండదన్న ఆలోచన రావడంతో జపనీస్ భాషలోనే చిత్రీకరణ చేశామన్నారు.
